Purpose of Role

The Professional Digital Sales is a key position within the ecommerce team to help enabling online growth on marketplaces such as Zalando, JD Sports and AboutYou. In this role you are responsible to drive the partnership with your respective accounts, with the goal to maximize sales and profitability against defined targets. To drive the business you will be working in close collaboration with various cross functional teams internally such as marketing, merchandising, planning, wholesale and supply chain.

Your Impact

  • Deliver against the agreed annual sales and profit plan, in line with the regional and global strategy.
  • Closely monitor and analyze the weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance to identify potential business risks and opportunities.
  • Lead monthly trade calls with the account to reflect on the performance and understand business trends.
  • Become the account expert, understand the needs of the online consumer and build an account relevant product assortment in collaboration with merchandising and marketing. 
  • Define the account strategy and work on the 5-year plan in collaboration with the Marketplace manager.
  • Support on the marketplace future roadmap and potential new integrations.
  • Be part of a dynamic team that is motivated to continue to grow the marketplace business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of relevant digital sales/ecommerce work experience.
  • Experience in working with marketplace/wholesale partners is preferred.
  • Demonstrated successful track record and progression in a commercial or digital business environment.
  • Strategic and commercial mindset, understanding the dynamics of the DTC and Wholesale KPIs.
  • Data driven, excellent Excel and analytics skills to turn findings into actionable insights.
  • PowerPoint presentation skills and the ability to deliver strong presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills to nurture the partnership.
  • Ability to work as a cross-functional team, with other areas of the business such as marketing, merchandising, planning and supply chain.
  • A self-starter who can demonstrate the drive and ambition that fits with the UA culture and pace of change.
  • Fluent in English, additional languages (German, French) a strong plus.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office.
  • Return to Work Designation:  Hybrid work (baseline of minimum 2 days a week in-office. 
  • Travel: IE- 5-10% of the year
