Position Summary

The Lead Store Design is responsible for the look and feel of the brand in Under Armour stores and spaces across the EMEA region.
This position provides conceptual design solutions to elevate the brand in the region, as well as implement and adapt global guidelines to the actual spaces.
It does so by designing in house, also managing outsourced agencies; driving the retail store design set developments and ensuring the target milestones are met for the overall success of the EMEA roll out program.
The role will have a strong link with the Global Store Design team at Global HQ and with other internal and external cross functional stakeholders globally and in region. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Include but are not limited to the following:

•    Lead the design process of all allocated stores and/or spaces from initiation to project delivery, 
•    Apply global store design standards to actual spaces and adapt to regional needs where needed,
•    Develop brand right conceptual design solutions for special projects and programs,
•    Influence and inform the Global Store Design Team to incorporate EMEA needs in global guidelines and decision, ensure seamless communication,
•    Develop and manage a pool of external design agencies & freelancers to support the roll out,
•    Review and approve concept sets, design development decks and construction drawings delivered by external agencies
•    Develop details for fixtures/fittings where needed, review technical production drawings,
•    Lead multiple projects simultaneously -ensure target design milestones are met,
•    Develop inhouse feasibility studies, conceptual design sketches, layout and façade studies
•    Elevate the EMEA executions through localization and experiential moments in coordination with global and regional VM and Marketing teams
•    Develop process and tools to ensure long term success for the role
•    Design Lead is a contributing part of the Retail Design & Development team, supporting where necessary

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

Include but are not limited to the following:

•    Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up and/or other relevant design software 
•    Strong Creative skill set together with a practical Problem-Solving mindset 
•    Strong English language skills; able to navigate across cultures
•    Able to manage conflicts, maintains composure in challenging conversations 

Education And / Or Experience

•    8+ years of relevant experience, preferably at an international retailer,
•    Minimum a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related studies
