Purpose of Role

Under Armour is looking for a qualified and dynamic results driven Account Manager. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team managing the Run Specialty Channel to impact the industry as no other company can. The ideal candidate will have a passion for running and an in-depth understanding of the Run Specialty market. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with retailers, driving sales growth, and promoting our products to meet and exceed sales targets. Under Armour strives to be the best and our Sales team delivers that message every day. 
 

Your Impact

⦁    Manage all Under Armour related business for Run Specialty  – Including Apparel, Footwear, and Accessories. Job tasks include but not limited to: seasonal sales presentations, assortment building, order bank management, account marketing, daily account support, and sample management. 
⦁    Drive growth with our existing product lines and categories, as well as develop new business initiatives within the run specialty channel.
⦁    Develop and nurture lasting relationships with existing and potential accounts in the run specialty channel.
⦁    Collaborate with store owners, managers, and key decision makers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. 
⦁    Manage key account relationships as designating by management. 
⦁    Maintain a deep understanding of our product line, including technical specifications, features, and benefits. 
⦁    Effectively manage a designated sales territory(may change upon UA discretion), ensuring coverage and regular customer visits.
⦁    Plan and prioritize sales activities such as demo runs to maximize results.
⦁    Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and prepare regular reports and updates for management. 
⦁    Educate and train retailers along with store associates on all selling points of Under Armour products. 
⦁    Attend industry trade shows, expos, and events to represent our brand and network within the industry.
⦁    Provide daily service and support to the Account Services, Marketing, Merchandising and Planning teams that help manage these businesses.
⦁    Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries, concerns, while addressing customer issues promptly and effectively to maintain high customer satisfaction. 
⦁    Partner with Sales Planning to accurately forecast future seasons to ensure we have a stable signal to our supply chain.
⦁    Implement and execute seasonal brand/account marketing plans to drive brand conversion.
⦁    Stay informed about market trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences across the run specialty channel. 
⦁    Provide feedback to the product development and marketing teams to help shape product strategy. 

Qualifications

  • ⦁    Bachelors Degree.
    ⦁    5+ years of experience in Footwear/Apparel Sales preferably working within Run Specialty channel.
    ⦁    Independent thinker, self-starter, and true team player.
    ⦁    Knowledge of the run specialty market, including key players, trends and customer needs.
    ⦁    Confidence in account presentations both digitally and in-person.
    ⦁    Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    ⦁    Understanding of Department Store channel and retailer needs. 
    ⦁    Proficiency in Microsoft Office related software
    ⦁    Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned territory

Base Compensation

 $86,806.00 - $119,358.80 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
