Position Summary

The primary role of the Global VM Project Lead, is to ensure the numerous, simultaneous projects within the Global Visual Merchandising (GVM) team are managed efficiently and to ensure operational excellence in the way we go to market. You will do this by synthesizing cross functional outputs that bring the brand to life through our retail concepts and wholesale pads in our HQ Consumer Center and our test doors around the globe. You will partner with Seasonal Creative Direction, Innovation, Merchandising, Store Design, Store Development and Consumer Insights to anticipate, validate, implement and test seasonal VM strategies that drive the business. In this role, you will be the operational leader within the VM function and a critical player in the way we Go-To-Market (GTM) as it relates to process, timelines, and toolkits.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Put our consumer first by understanding athlete insights, needs and global market trends that enhance the retail experience and contribute to the creation of our toolkits that enable the end user to implement flawlessly.
  • Manage all aspects of our Consumer Center by partnering with the VM Team to implement floor-sets, order and organize samples, implement marketing, and the week-to-week operations of the space.
  • Implement a process that enable us to quickly test, learn and scale new VM techniques that are validated with key metrics. Ensure regional collaboration and stakeholder alignment by building relationships that ensure speed to market.
  • Maintain KPI reporting for the team by ensuring all VM deliverables have a clear metric and a focus on results.
  • Own the creation and development of the VM Toolbox that will be needed to implement the VM Strategy. Ensure tools are intuitive and continually look for ways to improve and simplify the end user experience (regions and field) and ESL partners. Support agency/consultant relationships in the creation of these tools.
  • Support the creation of our Seasonal Global Guidelines for each retail floor set that service our regions by understanding regional challenges and best practices and providing adaptation guidance based on local needs. Communicate back challenges/best practices with cross-functional partners to understand Global scalability.
  • Partner with the VM Director on the GTM (go to market) VM process improvement through operational excellence of key milestone deliverables.  Partner with Global VM team to develop seasonal retail strategy, zone flow, zone architecture and key story placement for all retail floor sets.
  • Partner with VM Director on the creation and logistics of our annual Global VM Workshops.
  • Manage the GVM team expense and PO process

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Ability to identify and prioritize projects with competing timelines.

  • Strong strategic approach, business acumen, and negotiation skills

  • Detail oriented, excellence in communication and execution
  • Consumer-focused mindset with an understanding of global retail business

Education And / Or Experience

  • 5+ years with a variety of Retail experience
  • Strong skills and knowledge in Visual Merchandising, in-store presentation, within the sport apparel, or fashion business.
  • Experience managing multiple large projects and teams
  • Strong knowledge of vendor management

Other Requirements

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our global headquarters in Baltimore, MD.
  • Return To Work Designation: 2 days a week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.
