Purpose of Role

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Designer I, Print & Pattern to join our Product Creative team. The ideal teammate will have a deep understanding of fashion trends, textiles, and the sportswear market, with a passion for creating innovative and performance-driven designs. You will be responsible for developing original prints and patterns for multiple categories and genders that align with our brand vision while pushing the boundaries of design innovation.

Your Impact

  • Create all over prints + patterns for multiple UA categories. This includes yarn dyes, jacquards, sublimation, digital printing, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Creative leadership and cross functional team members. 
  • Gather, prepare, and present conceptual ideas.
  • Demonstrate flexibility/adaptability, organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Prepare detailed repeat patterns, colorways, and technical specifications for production.
  • Be dialed into textile, graphic and apparel trends, art, and sport culture. 

Qualifications

  • Attention to detail and experience multitasking and working under tight deadlines. 
  • Strong taste level when it comes to repeats, color, layouts and textile selections. .
  • Solid presentation skills and comfortable working with a group. 
  • Passionate about sports and design.
  • BA, BFA in Graphic or Industrial Design 
  • 5+ years of experience preferred
  • Advanced user of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong knowledge of repeat creation, textile printing techniques and apparel construction.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, Maryland office.
  • Return to Work Designation: Three (3) days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote. 

Relocation

  • Relocation may be provided up to a specified amount

Base Compensation

$58,140.00 - $79,941.40 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
