Position Summary

The Professional - Store Fixtures, Elements, and Planning role is part of the Americas Real Estate, Design, and Development team. This position is responsible for leading all aspects of fixture design, prototyping, ordering, and forecast planning for retail locations in North America. The candidate must have an understanding of retail design, and fixture planning with the ability to work within a fast-paced and complex environment. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•    Support Manager of Store Design.
•    Reviews fixture orders for all new stores and remodels for accuracy. 
•    Primary point of contact for fixture vendor(s), in partnership with Store Design and Construction; including cost negotiations, timelines, vendor accountability, technical drawing reviews, and pre-production sign-off.
•    Collaborate with Store Design, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing on new fixture elements, confirming fit, function, and finish from prototype to production.
•    Manages the delivery and review of fixture prototypes and samples to the Baltimore test lab or specific retail locations. This includes but is not limited to; prototype/sample review and set-up, reorganization, purging fixtures, maintaining standards in keeping the labs neat, clean and organized.
•    Partner with Global Store Design on any regional-specific modifications or additions to the current fixture program. 
•    Assist with creating 3D models, mockups, and design validation samples from sketches and architectural drawings.
•    Understanding of regional/national code requirements and laws, including ADA codes.
•    Maintain samples and specification sheets, including program updates to the regional Design Guidelines and Master Sets. 
•    Understanding of lighting and A/V design.
•    Provides clear, effective, and timely communication of design direction to internal and external partners.
•    Assists in researching and specifying regional suppliers, vendors, materials, and finishes.
•    Participate in Global quarterly WebEx and other Global team meetings as required.
•    Contributes to team goals by achieving target milestones and meeting all established deadlines.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design preferred, or Architecture, Environmental or Engineering Design
•    Minimum 2 years of professional experience
•    Retail design experience preferred
•    Must have a high degree of reliability, including accountability for fixture orders and meeting tight timelines
•    Ability to develop collaborative relationships across teams and organization 
•    Proficiency in use of Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and other modeling software
•    Proven ability to understand and review technical drawings and details
•    Ability to read construction documents
•    Knowledge and interest in trends influencing design in general, including retail, graphic design, in-store experiences, athletics, and fashion a plus
•    Time management, prioritization, and strong communication skills are essential
•    Able to lead workgroups which include vendors, manufacturers, general contractors, and Under Armour leadership
•    Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and build effective working relationships
•    Strong problem-solving skills
•    Experience with prototyping and product testing
•    Ability to balance design, with operational needs and budget objectives resulting in exceptional store environments
•    Strong team player
