Purpose of Role

The Senior Lead, Consumer Insights role is responsible for leading consumer insights for the APAC region. In this role you will be responsible for creating and sharing actionable consumer and customer insights, in order to enable better informed strategies, plans and decisions across the region. You will build consumer and customer understanding to inform business partners how to create value for customers and consumers, while delivering growth for the business.

Your Impact

  • Collect and synthetize consumer, customer, brand and market data to inform decisions and build recommendations that will contribute to business growth
  • Provide relevant consumer and customer insights to the different APAC teams to sustain consumer centric strategy building and decision making
  • Adopt and implement global consumer research tools, methodologies and solutions, and create new where necessary
  • Present and conduct regional analysis of UA brand health and Voice of the Consumer survey results to executive leadership
  • Develop and present social intelligence reports by translating listening data into relatable stories for cross-functional audiences
  • Act as a proactive member of the APAC organization and the Global Consumer Insights team contributing to the learning agenda, delivering to common objectives and goals
  • Actively cooperate with all key stakeholders within the APAC organization to secure integration of learnings, common focus and maximum consumer insights impact

Qualifications

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social science and/or behavioral economics
  • You have a minimum of 7 years of experience in consumer and market insights project management and translating data into actionable findings
  • You are passionate about athletes and progress
  • You are motivated by building consumer knowledge and partnering on consumer centric decision making
  • You have good knowledge of and experience in using a wide variety of consumer and customer research methodologies, to help assess and optimize market, product, communication, point-of-sale and pricing initiatives
  • You have advanced change management skills, strong analytical skills, and the ability to convert data to actionable insights and to communicate these insights in an inspiring manner
  • You know how to prioritize, to make decisions with agility and to take a holistic view exposing the overlooked
  • You have developed a good understanding of how to manage agencies efficiently and have the ability to build strong relationships with research partners, pursuing growth for both parties

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Shanghai office.
  • Return to Work Designation: 4 days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.

Base Compensation

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
