As a Distribution Industrial Engineer you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Engineered Labor Standards and driving the Manhattan Associates Labor Management Methodology for the Distribution House (DH). You will design and develop approximately 35-40 different activities to be measured using Engineered Labor Standards and will work with the operations team to develop Preferred Work Methods (PWM’s), ELS files and configure the Manhattan Associates Labor Management System (travel, shifts, departments, etc.) to equip the operations team with an effective tool to drive operational excellence throughout the 4 walls of the DH.
In this role, you will train distribution Supervisors, Managers, Sr. Managers, Directors and the Sr. Director of the DH on how to utilize the Labor Management System, including the new DM Mobile app. You will also assist in Leading Change as a Performance Management methodology is adopted by the DH. Distribution House Industrial Engineer’s perform an array of functions that also include driving a safety culture and Under Armour’s Core Competencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES May include, but are not limited to, the following: • Maintains a clean and safe work environment and reports any unsafe working conditions or equipment. • Works with Sr. Manager of Industrial Engineer, Industrial Engineering and IT consulting teams to design Engineered Labor Standards for Manhattan Associates Labor Management System • Responsible for creating an XYZ map, timing vehicles, developing Preferred Work Methods (PWM’s), creating ELS files and configuring the Labor Management System for Engineered Labor Standards • Partners with and trains Distribution Operations to effectively implement and Lead Change during Labor Management System implementation • Provide analytical support to the Distribution Operations and Strategic Operations team for effectively measuring Labor Management performance, 3YP & 5YP Capacity and CapEx planning • Partners with other Distribution IE’s to maintain Process Uniformity and Labor Management consistency across the distribution network, including: • Preferred Work Methods • Activity-Based Costing/CPU Modeling • Labor Monitoring and Labor Planning • Capacity Inputs/Modeling
OTHER DUTIES • May include, but are not limited to, the following: • Demonstrates willingness to train and assist cross-functionally in other areas of the DH. • May work in various departments as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None; this position has no direct reports.
