Under Armour is looking for a qualified, driven Plant Electrician. This is an opportunity to be part of a great success story, as Under Armour continues to impact the business like no other company has.


The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the full spectrum of routine maintenance including trouble-shooting electrical controls, ensuring proper functionality of all systems, and upholding the safety of all machines.


Inclusive, but not limited, to the following duties:

•Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems, electrical and mechanical
•Perform routine maintenance of systems based on machine PM requirements. Maintains an accurate record of all PM activities
•Install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials
•Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components-- photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, and encoders
•PLC programs; troubleshoot ladder logic (read use for troubleshooting), components (CPU back plains, I/O boards, counters, modules, and devices) and communications modules (Ethernet)
•Develop electrical training plans for Maintenance Mechanics
•Develop and maintain Electrical & Controls Engineering specifications and procedures and compliance to established company standards and applicable regulatory codes.
•Perform reviews of existing equipment and system to propose upgrades and replacements, and present findings and recommendations to operations and leadership.
•Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the distribution operations to determine the fundamental causes of equipment/operational issues to resolve quality and/or productivity issues.
•Identify and implement solutions to solve operational problems on equipment in support of Continuous Improvement initiatives.

•Excellent proven safety record
•Must have at least 1 year of recent continuous employment.


•Must be 18 years old
•Minimum 3 years’ experience in a distribution, manufacturing, production or facilities environment.
•Must be State Certified Electrician and able to maintain certification required by the State
•Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
•4 years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
•Experience and proficiency in the following areas:
•Automated conveyors systems and controls
•Electrical and electronic principles
•Blueprint and electrical schematic reading
•Preventative maintenance procedures
•Industrial Electrical
•Industrial Controls
•PLC programs
•Knowledge of N.E.C.
•Ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management, contractors and vendors
•Ability to work all days and shifts, including overtime


•Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).  Working knowledge of Maintenance Connection is a plus.
•Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing industrial control systems using root-cause problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
•Self-motivated with ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
•Working knowledge of electrical standards (NEC, NFPA 70E/79, UL, ISO, etc.).
•Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
•Demonstrated ability to develop detailed technical documentation.

Other Skills

•Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

Language Skills

•Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
