The Freight Supervisor is responsible for managing the receipt, deliveries, and placement of merchandise while emphasizing the efficiency and timeliness of goods to the sales floor.  A critical component of this position is strategic vision – devising creative solutions for freight productivity, stockroom organization, and capacity while adhering to UA standards. The Freight Supervisor must have a passion for the UA brand, embody UA culture and believe in the company spirit, be able to lead a team, and have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Lead the stockroom.

Review all business communication documents and interpret related to freight and stockroom.

Confirm receipt of merchandise, ensuring ASN’s are received according to company directive within 24 hours.

Support the build of a sell-through plan for all Key items and Promotional items based on stock ownership.

  • Establish and communicate priorities for clearance replenishment, auditing clearance fixtures to guarantee assortment is priced, compelling and seasonally appropriate

Manage and maintain Damages and RA requests

  • Ensure damages are processed and RA’s requested every 2 weeks
  • Identify and process product that is available for a price reduction sell through

Monitor inventory levels and sell through during peak, process merchandise, receive and monitor floor stock.

Assist in floor moves, merchandising and display maintenance.

Communicate critical items to be pulled for immediate processing on arrival while keeping all teammates aware of stock availability and the arrival of new product.

Compile feedback for the Allocation and Merchant Teams based on selling trends, ownership, and individual needs.

Maintain awareness of all product knowledge, merchandising promotions, test merchandise, and advertisements.

Maintain a clean, organized stockroom.

Provide support as Sales Associate, Service Manager, and other assigned duties as needed.

Ability to move or handle merchandise up to 50lbs.

Ability to process information/merchandise through computer and/or point-of-sale register system.

Ability to freely access all areas of the store; including the selling floor, stock area and register area.

Ability to operate all equipment necessary to run the store.

Ability to anticipate and solve problems

Ability to climb ladders.

Education and/or Experience 

Bachelor's degree (or similar) or 1+ years of retail experience.  Retail Freight Management/Stockroom Management experience a plus.
