Purpose of Role

As a Finance Intern, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing our financial strategies and operations. Your main project will be to create a sophisticated discount tracker model that accurately captures the true discount rate, allowing us to monitor and control margin impacts effectively. This tool will be instrumental in optimizing our sales and marketing efforts, ensuring we drive sustainable sales growth while maintaining profitability.

Your Impact

  • Model Development: Design and implement a comprehensive discount tracker model that accurately reflects the true discount rate across our DTC channel. This involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to understand the impact of discounts on margins and sales.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Conduct detailed analyses using the discount tracker model to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization. Prepare regular reports for the finance and commercial teams to aid in strategic decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the finance, planning & accounting teams to gather input and feedback on the discount model, ensuring it meets the company's needs and objectives.
     

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Proficient in Excel and other analytical tools; familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a keen interest in the DTC business model and financial strategy.
  • Passionate about sports products

Education and Experience

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
