Purpose of Role
We are seeking a HR Operations Specialist with expertise in France HR practices and an understanding of Italy’s employment landscape. This role is pivotal in supporting our teammates across France and Italy, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and a seamless employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of HR Operations experience in France, with Italy experience as a strong advantage, and a proven background in Retail HR operations.
You will act as a subject matter expert for country-specific processes, work on operational initiatives, and partner closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Your Impact
- Serve as the primary HR Operations contact for teammates in France and Italy, resolving queries and ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures.
- Own end-to-end HR administrative processes including onboarding, offboarding, benefits, payroll coordination, and leave management.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, partnering with legal and HR teams to update policies and handbooks.
- Manage monthly payroll inputs and changes with accuracy and timeliness, liaising with payroll vendors and internal teams.
- Maintain and audit personnel files in line with GDPR and internal standards.
- Lead and support projects aimed at process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to align regional practices with global standards.
- Provide high-quality support through the AskHR ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and proactive communication.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of HR Operations experience in France; experience in Italy is a strong plus.
- Retail HR experience is essential, ideally supporting store-based teams and field operations.
- Strong knowledge of France employment law, payroll processes, and HR systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience with SuccessFactors Employee Central or similar HRIS.
- Fluent in business English and French; any additional European language is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Collaborative team player with a service-oriented approach.
Workplace Location
- Location: Amsterdam office
- Work life Integration Designation: Teammates are required to work on-site for 3 days per week. This will increase to 4 days per week beginning January 2026.

Base Compensation
€43,462.28-€54,327.84 EUR for a FT role
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more overtime. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
