Purpose of Role

Under Armour EMEA is looking for a Sr. Manager Integrated Business Planning to join its Planning team based in Amsterdam. 

 

This role is responsible for driving the alignment of demand planning, inventory management, and financial forecasting to achieve optimal business performance. The role focuses on enhancing forecast accuracy and minimizing bias by leveraging advanced data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs). It ensures seamless integration of demand signals with financial projections, effectively reducing unresolved demand and excess inventory. Additionally, this leader is tasked with proactively identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring agile and resilient operations. Through strategic vision and cross-functional collaboration, it plays a pivotal role in steering the organization towards sustainable growth and operational excellence.
 

Your Impact

  • Provide strategic Demand/Supply leadership in the execution of monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) sequences, utilizing advanced analytics to analyze sales plans, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and proactively escalate critical issues to ensure alignment with business objectives. 
  • Act as a strategic liaison between the region and Global Supply/Demand Planning teams, aligning buying strategies with organizational goals and effectively communicating demand gaps to drive cohesive and informed decision-making. 
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings, such as S&OP, S&OE and Running the Business, with key stakeholders, ensuring financial projections are data-driven and inventory levels are optimized to support business growth and operational efficiency. 
  • Establish robust communication networks and implement innovative demand planning strategies, facilitating demand reconciliation to enhance forecast accuracy and responsiveness to market changes. 
  • Oversee the regional inventory strategy, including excess management, for multiple warehouse locations, ensuring optimal fulfillment models and efficient inventory levels.
  • Continuously improve activities and processes to maximize product availability and operational efficiency. Implement and sustain global demand management agendas and innovative forecasting technologies. 
  • Provide visionary leadership to the integrated business planning team, fostering development and driving cross-functional collaboration with key departments, such as analytics, planning, finance and supply chain, to align demand and inventory strategies and ensure the successful achievement of organizational and team objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field. 
  • 8+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or a related role. 
  • Experience in the apparel or footwear industry is preferred. 
  • Proficient in Blue Yonder or other major planning tools 
  • Strong leadership, communication & change-readiness skills, with a proven ability to lead, mentor and develop team members, influence stakeholders, and communicate complex concepts clearly to senior leaders. 

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office.
  • Return to Work Designation: 2 days a week in-office as a minimum, the remainder of work week remote.
