Position Summary

The Director, HR Business Partner is responsible for providing HR leadership, consulting, and expertise to the Global Product organization (includes product, design, and innovation) to support the organization’s mission, vision, values, and strategic and operational plans.  The individual will lead the HR POD aligned to the Product organization aligning Under Armour’s global Human Resources strategies with business strategies in a fast-paced, complex business.  

The Director, HRBP reports to the VP HR and Talent Management, is ideally based in Baltimore, MD and leads the HR POD (consisting of HR Business Partner, generalists, talent acquisition, teammate relations, and HR coordinators) dedicated to the Global Product organization.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the leadership team of the Product organization to develop and implement a people strategy that aligns with the business strategy and vision for the broader organization
  • Consults, coaches, and influences the executive leader and his/her respective leadership team in all aspects of the teammate lifecycle and drive team effectiveness amongst the senior leadership people of the Product organization
  • Collaborate with HR Partners (Other HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, DEI, Learning and Development, Transformation Office, Total Rewards, and HR Admin/Operations), Legal, FP&A, and communications to deliver integrated HR solutions that meet business needs
  • Leads the strategic delivery of key HR practices for the Product organization including workforce plans, engagement strategies, succession planning, diversity equity and inclusion best practices, talent acquisition, organizational design and effectiveness, training and development, performance management, and compensation and benefits
  • Partner with leaders to effectively manage and lead change in the organization, providing the right amount of transparency to teammates and giving leaders the right tools to lead change
  • Actively builds and leverages HR data and metrics to make key operational and strategic decisions
  • Responsible for the leadership and effective operation of the HR POD assigned to the Product business unit

Education And / Or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A proven track record of eight (8) or more years in Human Resources or related experience, including three (3) or more years managing a results-focused team

Other Requirements

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our global headquarters in Baltimore, MD
  • Return-to-Work Designation: 3-4 days a week in-office, the remainder of work week remote at home
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred
  • Experience working in a global matrix organization preferred
  • Previous retail and apparel industry experience a plus
