Purpose of Role
The Lead, Global Demand Planner is responsible for driving best practices, process adherence and forecasting product demand to ensure optimal supply, sourcing and inventory levels—informed by market trends, historical performance, and consumer signals. This role utilizes statistical forecasting, cross functional collaboration, and gathering insights to provide a demand forecast that maximizes sales while minimizing stockouts and excess. It will work & partner other planning counterparts and functional partners to arrive at consensus plans.
Your Impact
• Collaborate with the Regional Demand Planning teams to drive best practices, improve forecast accuracy and provide system guidance to improve new product introduction planning, parameter tuning, history cleansing, scenario planning, etc.
• Own KPI tracking and reviews of forecast accuracy, bias and forecast value add (FVA).
• Lead collaborative meetings with Regional Demand Planning to review KPIs, identify improvement opportunities and drive Blue Yonder Demand Planning system adoption.
• Take a lead role in Demand Review meetings to drive alignment on the forecast across cross functional partners and leadership.
• Find areas of the forecast to leverage Machine Learning (ML) / Artificial Intelligence (AI) to drive improved forecast accuracy and demand sensing.
• Participate in the development of the strategic and tactical long-range demand plans in Blue Yonder Demand Planning leveraging system driven output and collaboration with cross functional partners to reach consensus.
• Evaluate and present alternative demand scenarios, including risks, opportunities, and contingencies. Guide team members in adjusting demand plans based on these insights.
• Lead the gathering of competitive intelligence, consumer behavior insights, and market trends.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years experience in demand planning, supply chain or related role.
• Strong understanding of Blue Yonder or similar advanced planning systems for demand planning and statistical forecasting.
• Experience in the apparel or footwear industry is preferred.
• Strong ability to collaborate across teams to ensure alignment with broader business goals.
• Skilled in data analysis and proficient with visualization tools to create insights and drive decision-making.
• Ability to leverage algorithms for task automation and exception management.
• Deep understanding of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
• Effective communication skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders, lead change, and communicate complex concepts clearly to senior leaders.

• Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance of the Baltimore, MD corporate office.

Base Compensation
$97,606.80 - $134,209.35 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
