Position Summary

This role supports the Americas UA Shop in Shop programs within our Wholesale Channel. The Lead, Store Planning & Development will drive profitable growth in store, support our investment at retail as we give the Focused Performer a reason to shop UA. This role will continuously evolve the customer journey in collaboration with our wholesale partners, ensuring current brand standards are being met, supporting the development of creative modular environments, and accelerating our operational efficiencies and execution.  This role will have the opportunity to become a vital role in driving our shop strategy along with our new retail concepts across Canada, US and LATAM. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Shop Planning & Development. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with Channel Marketing, Sales and Finance to develop a balanced budget plan for capital committee approval. Accountable for actual spend vs approved budgets, including review of all project change orders.
  • Partner with NA Visual Merchandising on directives, planograms, hero looks, and staying abreast of global merchandising tools. 
  • Work with external Visual, Store Planning/Design and Construction partners to negotiate and secure space, balance fixture and capacity needs, meet customers’ modularity needs, develop scope, and drive in-store communication. 
  • Lead weekly project management meetings with vendor partners to discuss detailed status of all current, upcoming, and closed out projects.
  • Consistent oversight of the project management software, ATLAS, ensuring shop project details are current and milestones are being met.
  • Partner with CAD vendor and architect on development of floor plan, capacity targets and fixture placement as well as communicating account guidelines. 
  • Manage the feasibility, design, and execution phases and timelines for all shop programs as well as store wide fixture programs while ensuring alignment between external and internal teams. 
  • Manage the vendors’ on-site operational tasks for each install which includes fixture delivery and assembly, graphic delivery and placement, store communication, equipment rentals, labor hours and merchandising execution. 
  • Respond to any problems or issues with a sense of urgency, collaborating swiftly and effectively to problem solve while leveraging sound business decisions.
  • Responsible for Quarterly Fixture Forecast and the long-term yearly management of the inventory levels. 
  • Deliver all project phases on time, on budget and within scope while following UA standards.
  • Conduct store level walkthroughs following rollouts for collective and hindsight review from internal and external teams.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Knowledge of retail store fixtures, signage, and store operational standards
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple time sensitive projects
  • Strong background in Project Management

Education And / Or Experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) applications.
  • College Degree required
  • 4-5 years of retail experience

Other Requirements

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Global Headquarters in Baltimore, MD. 
  • Return To Work Designation: 1-2 days a week in-office, the remainder of the work week remote. 
  • Travel: 5-10% of the year
