Position Summary

We are searching for a Color Operations Professional to focus on and elevate UA Color Development. The Professional, Color Operations will focus on Apparel and Accessories but will also have opportunities to touch all parts of the brand and have access to the latest technologies and innovations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Own seasonal Color Palette development in partnership with the Design Concept Team, including color standard development, technical feasibility, documentation, and communication
  • Consult for and support cross-functional teams as a Color Development expert, especially for non-standard products such as Team Sports, Licensed and Long Lead Time developments; leverage technical color knowledge to troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Consult with internal and external partners on specialty color developments (such as new novelty textiles) for successful execution; correct color request anomalies to inform best practices
  • Create and publish SOPs and educational information for internal and external partners to document and enforce best practices for color management
  • Maintain digital color library data across enterprise systems including PLM, third-party and colormetric software
  • Maintain physical color library space and physical resources; create informational documents and/or displays to educate cross-functional teams
  • Support seasonal print development process in partnership with cross-functional team
  • Support UA Sustainability initiatives from a Color perspective
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Knowledge of technical color science and management including lab dip and bulk lot processes, color measurement and color review process
  • Knowledge of color palette development process including color standard creation and color feasibility data
  • Comfortable using enterprise systems such as PLM and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with natific Color Accreditation Program highly desired 
  • Strong presentation skills and comfortable working with a group and independently
  • Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize tasks and to successfully meet multiple deadlines
  • Willing to travel to UA global offices and suppliers domestically and/or internationally as needed

Education And / Or Experience

  • BA or BS in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or other relevant area of study or experience
  • 2+ years of experience

Other Requirements

  • Munsell Color Vision Test score of “Superior”
