Position Summary

The Senior Lead Global Ethics & Compliance, working closely with the Director of Global Ethics & Compliance, will administer and oversee the day to day operations of the compliance program. This will entail working directly with the business to drive accountability, establish appropriate compliance controls and create a culture of integrity.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain UA’s compliance policy library
  • Update UA policies, programs and documents to promote consistency and relevance to our growing business; maintain central repository of policies
  • Regularly review risk areas and provide recommendations to enhance the compliance program
  • Maintain ethics and compliance program records
  • Participation in compliance issue resolution and investigation
  • Assist with quarterly compliance update for senior management and the Board
  • Develop reports as requested by leadership
  • Assist with the development and delivery of communications, training and programs related to ethics and compliance
  • Manage communications with and notifications to suppliers and contractors regarding the company’s code of conduct and ethical expectations, especially regarding gifts, travel and entertainment
  • Assures annual updating, distribution and certification of the code of conduct and ethics; tracks and reports on annual code of conduct training

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Knowledge of principles of corporate governance, compliance and ethics
  • Proven business judgment, initiative, organizational skills and an orientation to detail
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships and credibility without formal reporting lines
  • Strong persuasive writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently

Education And / Or Experience

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited university
  • Five years working in a corporate regulatory or compliance environment (retail/consumer company a plus), or a law firm or government setting (working on compliance matters a plus)

Other Requirements

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our global headquarters in Baltimore, MD
  • Return-to-Campus Designation: 1-2 days a week in-office, the remainder of work week remote at home
  • Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) or Leading Practitioner in Ethics & Compliance (LPEC) preferred
