Purpose of Role

Under Armour is looking for a qualified, driven Sr. Purchase to Pay Specialist. This is an opportunity to be part of a great success story, as Under Armour continues to impact the business like no other company has. 

Your Impact

 

  • Manage purchase order activity, set up contracts and or milestone payments accurately in Ariba. Timely action of PO/Contract modifications or amendments that effect payment(s). Consistent collaboration with business units and suppliers to ensure timely invoice processing and accuracy of payment amounts executing within the established timeframe(s).
  • Collaborate with Finance, Procurement and IT partners to ensure related activity is in accordance to established controls/guidelines.
  • Reconcile invoice exceptions related to PO pricing and quantity discrepancies 
  • Produce and monitor/action AP aging reports, established KPI’s and present results in Team meetings
  • Researches, performs root cause analysis and resolves a high volume of internal and external inquiries regarding account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to the appropriate individuals
  • Subject matter expert of P2P processes and systems with the goal to understand various business unit(s) and challenges faced as it relates to P2P activity
  • Maintain and support P2P process, policies and procedures in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Reconciles vendor accounts through monthly statement reviews, analyzing detailed invoice postings where variances are identified
  • Support training for UA teammates on the current P2P process and system(s)
  • Identify continuous improvement projects and support process design
  • Establish, develop and maintain effective cross functional working relationships to ensure an integrated contribution to the company's corporate objectives and individual goals
  • Provide internal/external audit with requested documents or files
  • Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Operations

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience within a P2P / Purchase to Pay role / Contract management
  • Strong organizational skills, must be detail oriented
  • Ability to follow up on pending issues and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to identify needs/issues, probe for root causes, and evaluate alternative business solutions and approaches

 
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Candidate must have 2-3 years operational procurement, purchasing / accounts payable or general accounting experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
SAP and Ariba experience preferred or other equivalent system experience. Proficient in Excel.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore office.
  • Return to Work Designation: 3 days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.

Base Compensation

 

 $57,022.00 - $78,404.70 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
