Purpose of Role

This role will be responsible for working cross functionally with Customer Financial Services, Sales, FP&A, Account Services, Distribution, Product, Sourcing, Development, Global Label & Packaging, Legal, etc. to ensure customer compliance requirements are communicated and executed to reduce/eliminate customer charge backs.  This role will also independently analyze current VAS setup, DH, and Supply Chain processes, charge back trends and historical data to identify potential areas of cost savings to hit annual compliance savings targets.  This role will also manage and execute quarterly compliance analyses for top customers to Sales Teams, FP&A, CFS and Account Services presenting charge back details and overall customer profitability.  This role will also aid in the development of on-boarding new customers as well as reviewing existing customer manual updates which includes customer setup, negotiation with customers on operational processes and VAS.

Your Impact

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include the following. Other duties may also be assigned.
    
•    Work cross functionally to implement policies within the Mexico region for customer compliance specific initiatives including (but not limited to) value added service standards, customer onboarding requirements & process, customer chargeback policy and process, chargeback resolution and deduction process.

•    Identify gaps in customer compliance including process, policy and organizational structure and develop a strategy to implement standards within Mexico

•    Present quarterly business reviews for top customers to Sales, Account Services, FP&A and the Claims & Charge Backs Teams     

•    Engage top customers to align, collaborate and identify opportunities within both UA and customer supply chain that can lead to speed, efficiency in supply chain and reduction of chargebacks

•    Responsible for analyzing and driving action on top customer’s monthly supply chain scorecards, chargeback notifications and customer DM cases. Identify opportunities and drive changes within UA supply chain

•    Works cross functionally with Customer Financial Services, Account Services, Sales, FP&A, Distribution, Product, Sourcing, and Development & Legal as the subject matter expert for Customer Compliance within Mexico

•    Manage & maintain customer compliance savings targets by customer/reason

•    Perform VAS review and monitoring of sales orders and vendor POs to ensure DH’s and factories are executing against customer requirements

•    Execute and document charge backs to vendor using Pivot88 for direct ship charge backs where the factory did not perform against the customer’s requirements

•    Establish cadence for top customer calls and run point on agenda and action items

•    Review, research, and dispute customer notifications using FMS, WM/3rd party software, SNC, Pivot 88 and BI.

•    Drive accountability by providing visibility and awareness to customer pain points.  Develop and track action plans to ensure customer satisfaction.

•    Manage on-boarding process for new & existing customers.

•    Negotiate waivers and reduced charge back fees with customers.

•    Ensure comprehensive reporting is available for customer charge back data, VAS review, etc.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree 
•    Minimum 1-3 years with relevant business experience in customer compliance, supply chain, customer service, distribution
•    Fluency in Spanish and English, written and verbal is required
•    Critical thinker with ability to problem solve and root cause complex issues.
•    Exceptional presentation skills required.
•    Highly effective communicator with the ability to summarize and present data at all levels.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel skills. 
•    Knowledge of enterprise management system (SAP, Oracle, etc.) a plus
•    Experience working in a larger environment with complexity and multiple priorities
•    Compliance driven – readiness to investigate and research policy & procedures
•    Ability to make data driven decisions

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Mexico City office.
  • Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week,
  • Travel: UA Distribution Houses/3PLs, Customer Distribution Centers, Industry Conferences
