Purpose of Role

The DTC Planning Intern supports the merchandise planning function for Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) channels that align with merchandising strategy with market demand to optimize product availability and business objectives. They will gain exposure to the retail landscape while supporting our end-to-end processes to bring products to end consumers. They will be responsible for performing sales and stock analysis to assist with merchandising decision-making, and will also be involved in allocation and replenishment flow processes needed to maximize sell-through.

 

We will prioritize candidates who can commit to a full-time 6-month internship. 

Your Impact

  • Monitor product performance and identify market needs in view of SKU productivity
  • Mitigate stockouts and excess inventory while managing in-season and aged inventory
  • Support the planning team for the seasonal buying calendar
  • Support allocator with on-time allocation/ replenishment to achieve desired sales, inventory turn and sell-through objectives for DTC channels

Qualifications

  • Broad understanding and passion for Retail with a strong interest in products
  • Strong aptitude in planning, allocation, and supply chain management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Excel
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks simultaneously, possessing a sense of urgency (excellent time management), and thorough in handling data and numerical information.
  • Takes initiative and can work independently with strong follow-up skills
  • Independent learner who is open to being guided by Seniors and Managers within the organization
  • Team player mindset with communication and collaboration skills
