Purpose of Role

The Product Line Manager (PLM) – Essentials Footwear will focus on and elevate the UA footwear business.  This role will work on the strategic vision and plan for essentials footwear, with a sharp focus on building the most innovative, consumer-centric product in the industry.  Daily work will revolve around managing the full product life cycle - from seasonal strategy and line planning, through design and development process, to production and delivery.  In addition, cross-functional collaboration (global & regional merch, planning, brand, sports marketing, sales, etc.) will be expected to deliver a comprehensive GTM plan that results in NA growth and market leadership.  This is an opportunity to be part of a great success story, as Under Armour builds and grows their Footwear legacy.

Your Impact

  • Build and manage the essentials businesses from concept to commercialization.  This is inclusive of, but not limited to writing briefs, managing integrity of all data inputs in Centric, working collaboratively with design and development to bring product to life on time and at cost, etc.
  • Be the expert on product and mine consumer insights, athlete feedback, and fit & wear results.  Work with relevant partners to understand market, competitive trends, and opportunities for UA.  Pull all together to enable immersive experiences that feed the Product Team
  • Lead the Product Creation process with Design, Innovation, Product Development, Sourcing to hit overall seasonal dates
  • Work across the company to influence Marketing, Sports Marketing, Merchandising, Sales, Key Accounts, Innovation and key Leaders to ensure clarity, support of the seasonal strategy, and ultimately a dialed in GTM execution
  • Help craft and execute the strategic vision and plan for the category.  Partner with Innovation to ensure Category strategy is clear and pipeline is built with robust consumer solutions
  • Build and deliver presentations at all relevant milestones

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 6 years of relevant experience or typically 12 years of relevant work experience without degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of product line management - Footwear experience highly preferred.
  • Strong presentation, time management, collaboration and influencing skills. Team Player Attitude
  • Required experience managing Full Product Life Cycle
  • Strong Presentation and Collaboration skills
  • Experience mining consumer insights & translating into product solutions

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Portland, OR office.
  • Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week. 
  • Travel: 10-15%

Base Compensation

$123,111.77 - $169,278.67 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
