Purpose of Role

The Assistant Manager, Trade Marketing is responsible for developing and delivering account-based trade marketing plans across two key wholesale accounts. This role connects brand, category, and account priorities to drive consumer engagement, sell-in, sell-through, and revenue growth across wholesale environments. He/she will partner closely with Wholesale, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, and the broader Marketing team to deliver aligned, commercially focused activities while maintaining a consistent Under Armour brand experience across all partner touchpoints.
 
This is a 12-14-month maternity cover. 

Your Impact

Wholesale Account Marketing and Campaign Management

  • Own the trade marketing strategy, planning, and execution for two key wholesale accounts, ensuring activity supports account priorities, commercial objectives, and revenue targets.
  • Partner with the Wholesale team on joint business planning, seasonal account plans, growth opportunities, and the commercial calendar.
  • Develop and manage account marketing plans, including campaign briefs, retail activations, product storytelling, in-store and digital support, asset requirements, timelines, budgets, and trade investment.
  • Work with Merchandising and Visual Merchandising to align product priorities, seasonal stories, and retail execution to the shopper journey and account growth plans.
  • Deliver partner events, trade moments, product launches, retail activations, and conferences that engage wholesale account teams, including store staff, and bring brand, product, and seasonal stories to life.
  • Support sell-in and sell-through by creating clear, commercially relevant marketing plans that help drive product awareness, conversion, and account growth.
  • Track campaign performance against agreed KPIs, including revenue, sell-through, and ROI measures where relevant, and share clear learnings with Wholesale, Marketing, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Lead regular alignment meetings to keep account, marketing, merchandising, VM, creative, budget, and execution plans on track throughout the go-to-market process.

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Build strong working relationships with Wholesale, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Sports Marketing, Creative, and broader Marketing teams to deliver connected and commercially relevant account plans.
  • Partner with wholesale account teams to align plans, secure approvals, hand over assets, and ensure activity is delivered to the agreed standard.
  • Ensure wholesale partner execution remains consistent with Under Armour’s brand direction across retail, digital, social, event, and VM environments.

Strategy

  • Use account insights, shopper behaviour, retail performance, and campaign results to inform planning, optimise activity, and improve future performance.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate Under Armour within wholesale environments while balancing commercial priorities, partner requirements, and brand standards.

Agency and Creatives Management

  • Manage project-based agency relationships (internal and external partners), including schedule management, approvals, research and analysis of agency performance, and partnering with Procurement on costs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of marketing or related experience in sport, retail, or consumer goods, with demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Wholesale, Merchandising, and Visual Merchandising teams.
  • Experience managing account-based trade marketing plans, partner activations, or wholesale retail campaigns that support commercial objectives.
  • Experience planning and delivering conferences, partner events, or account engagement moments for wholesale, retail, or store teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale partners, internal partners, and stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to connect marketing activity to account growth, consumer engagement, and revenue targets.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple account plans, campaigns, and events to a high standard.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving, execution, and partner communication.
  • Ability to work effectively across Wholesale, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Creative, Sports Marketing, and broader Marketing teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the confidence to influence partners, manage priorities, and keep stakeholders aligned.
  • Interstate travel will be required.
