Purpose of Role

Under Armour is looking for a planning and operational specialist for its wholesale business in Australia. This role offers the chance to join a growing brand and division, where passion, drive, and integrity are valued in teammates. You will be a key player in leading the financial and inventory planning processes, both pre-season and in-season, with the opportunity to make an immediate impact on the business.

 

In this role, you will support the Wholesale team, working closely with the regional supply chain team and Key Accounts to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment in line with the business's financial goals. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be responsible for sharing order book data transparently and proactively with Key Accounts and internal stakeholders. Your role has the potential to become a data center of excellence, focusing on collaborative efforts to grow the business alongside the team.

Your Impact

Seasonal Sales Planning

  • Develop seasonal demand plans by analyzing historical data and current trends while identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Build seasonal stock and sales plans for key partners to determine sell-in based on projected partner inventory (turn), sell-out potential, and gross margins.
  • Partner with Key Account Managers and Merchandising to build sales strategy and open-to-buy plans from a top-down and bottom-up perspective, and help deliver and track against business KPIs.
  • Provide data-driven insights during sell-in to support the sales strategy.

 

Wholesaler Performance Analysis

  • Create organizational awareness of the importance of point-of-sale metrics (sales and stock mix, retailer inventory, sell-through, rate of sale, stock turn, margin, availability).
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on weekly sales performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support business decision-making.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and drive follow-up actions such as inventory chase post sell-in.
  • Forecast sales, margin, and inventory turn by month at a category level, and communicate business performance during internal and external weekly sales and monthly open-to-buy meetings.
  • Own and partner with internal teams to inform the data collection process and evolving data needs.
  • Establish relationships with customers and participate in all external go-to-market meetings, and provide support in action plans based on risks and opportunities to maximize revenue and inventory goals.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and actionable insights to support leadership in driving strategic alignment.
  • Manage funding requests in collaboration with Account Managers.
  • Support the financial planning process for all wholesale accounts, including budgets, SOP forecasts, and OTB tracking.
  • Provide monthly inventory forecasts for all wholesale accounts with the regional supply chain planning team.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and the Merchandising team to support the pricing process.

 

Supply Chain Operational Management

  • Maintain the account order book and ensure timely communication related to quantity, delivery, pricing, and master data changes.
  • Consolidate, reconcile, and translate all orders into UA format accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring a structured format for order submission.
  • Provide master data via article workbenches in collaboration with the regional team.
  • Conduct checks on each PO for: 1) correct master data, 2) correct pricing, and 3) ETAs.
  • Analyze and monitor delivery dates in partnership with the regional supply chain team to improve overall delivery performance.
  • Drive delivery process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and ways of working.
  • Act as the key contact between SRG Supply Chain and the UA Supply Chain and Logistics teams.
  • Identify and solve account issues related to warehouse capacity, product orders, deliveries/URD, credit issues, and returns in conjunction with Account Managers.

 

Reporting
• Monthly delivery report – provide a snapshot of UA delivery performance to internal and external leadership teams.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion, ambition, integrity, courage, and curiosity.
  • Ability to interpret data insights and translate them into commercial recommendations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline.
  • 2–4 years of experience in planning, buying, replenishment, or a related field (preferably with a background in the retail sector).
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (building pivots; knowledge of SUMIFS, VLOOKUPs, INDEX/MATCH, etc., is essential; ability to build macros is preferred).
  • Strong aptitude in retail math and forecasting methodology – ability to read and apply retail metrics with the right balance between analytical and commercial skills.
  • Able to influence the management team and peers, and able to implement new ways of working.
