Purpose of Role

The Key Account Manager – Nordics, Poland, CIS will work within an integrated and dedicated POD team that manages Key Accounts, Buying Group members, Field and Specialty accounts in the Western European markets with a clear focus on the Nordics (primarily Sweden, Norway and Finland). The role drives wholesale business through a direct relationship and manages and services a distribution partner with the goal to maximize sales and profitability against defined targets and set objectives and works within the best interest of our consumers, customers, teammates and the Under Armour brand.

Your Impact

  • Delivers and achieves the agreed annual sales and profit for Under Armour, in line with the regional and global strategy.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company teammates, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
  • Prepare and conduct sales presentations of products at trade fairs, virtual and 1-1 sales meetings.
  • Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year periods. This includes leading commercial term negotiations with the account and distribution partner.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
  • Achieves strategic customer objectives defined by company management.
  • Completes strategic customer account plans that meet company standards.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of relevant work experience; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Ideally from within the Sporting Goods industry, Consulting, or Retail industry with strong experience and understanding of the Nordics/Polish/CIS marketplace.
  • Experience in working with wholesale AND distributor partners preferred.
  • Demonstrated successful track record and progression in a commercial or digital business environment.
  • Strategic thinker who understands retail math as well as ecommerce dynamics and KPIs.
  • Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills with an analytical mind coupled with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations based on their analysis.
  • A self-starter who can demonstrate the drive and ambition that fits with the UA culture and pace of change.
  • PowerPoint presentation skills and the ability to deliver strong presentations (1:1 and groups)
  • A strong influencer who has proven leadership in difficult negotiations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills & demonstrable track record of good relationship building.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other areas of the business such as marketing, merchandising, customer service & logistics.
  • Fluent in English, additional languages (Swedish, Polish) a strong plus.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office.
  • Return to Work Designation: Hybrid work (baseline of minimum 2 days a week in-office)
  • Travel: 25% of the year
