Purpose of Role

The Director, Distribution and Logistics is part of the EMEA Supply Chain leadership team, leading the team responsible for Distribution Center (DH) operations, transportation, and trade compliance across all EMEA sales channels—Wholesale, Distributors, and DTC.
This leadership spans four core functions: Inbound Logistics, Trade Compliance, Distribution Center, and Outbound Transportation. This role ensures these teams, in partnership with 3PLs and through integrated ways of working, consistently deliver quality, cost, service, and strategic priorities.


Success is measured not only by KPI performance, but by the ability to set and deliver ambitious goals, build a high-performing organization, and strengthen enterprise ways of working. The Director owns the financial performance of their functions, ensures service level execution across channels, and drives accountability aligned with Under Armour’s core competencies and values.

Your Impact

Organizational Impact
•    As part of the EMEA Supply Chain leadership team, serves as a trusted resource to  all Supply Chain teammates in partnership with their EMEA SC leadership peers.
•    Champion a EMEA SC and enterprise-wide consumer-first mindset to improve operational efficiency, service levels and revenue.
•    Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and provide clear, decisive perspectives.
•    Own both strategic and day-to-day operational performance across the four functions that support the EMEA business.
•    Communicate department vision and objectives, ensuring alignment with management and translating goals into actionable tasks.
•    Set, monitor, and deliver department performance goals through disciplined execution.
•    Drive performance improvements through coaching, training, and structured feedback for teams and 3PL partners.
•    Identify and improve distribution processes using Continuous Improvement tools to meet strategic objectives and support demand growth.
•    Partner cross-functionally to balance workflows and ensure internal teams and 3PL providers meet productivity expectations.
•    Anticipate internal and external risks and develop proactive action plans to address business challenges.
•    Actively participate in key forums (RTB, S&OP, QBRs, cross-regional updates, all-hands, etc).
•    Drive alignment with cross-functional partners on strategic initiatives tied to LRP and POD expansion.
•    Implement leadership strategies and ensure teams remain flexible and responsive to changing workflows.
•    Support managers on escalations and lead cross-functional problem-solving to implement sustainable solutions.
•    Develop reports, analyze data, and deliver clear, executive-level summaries for internal and external stakeholders.

 

Process Management
•    Design and implement efficient operating models, KPIs, and ways of working to meet customer and service requirements (e.g., B2B, CRM tools, dashboards) to maximize revenue.
•    Define regional fulfillment strategies based on customer needs, service levels, and ROI.  Ensure alignment with UA Global standards.
•    Partner across supply chain (local and global) and regional functions to design and gain buy-in for new fulfillment strategies.
•    Contract negotiation and review in collaboration with procurement and finance.

 

Communication
•    Build strong cross-functional relationships and act as a bridge between Supply Chain and other functions.
•    Engage stakeholders through clear, constructive communication to achieve regional and team objectives.
•    Communicate effectively—both verbally and in writing—with internal and external stakeholders across all levels.
•    Translate company and departmental strategy, standards and values into actionable plans across the organization and with our 3pls.
•    Align team vision and goals with Under Armour’s strategic priorities.
•    Apply a commercial and operational mindset to translate business needs into scalable supply chain solutions.
•    Communicate fluently in English.

 

Team & Talent Building
•    Set clear, measurable business and development goals.  Ensure role clarity and accountability through defined roles and responsibilities.
•    Own departmental performance by tracking and optimizing team contributions.
•    Identify, select, and develop talent based on current and future organizational needs.
•    Lead talent planning efforts in alignment with cross-functional priorities.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree
•    10+ years of experience in supply chain operations or project/process management
•    10+ years of people management experience
•    Demonstrate results-driven leadership with an enterprise mindset.
•    Lead and develop high-performing teams.
•    Deliver compelling presentations to senior stakeholders.
•    Communicate complex data clearly and concisely.
•    Use Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, CRM platforms) effectively.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office.
  • Work Schedule: Teammates are required to work on-site for 4 days per week

Base Compensation

 

 €120,000.00-€155,000.00 EUR

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
