The Rookie Program:

Do you have what it takes to make an impact?!  Join the Under Armour Rookie (internship) Program: 

  • Start date 2nd of September ‘24 until 31st of January ‘25


In order to be eligible for an internship you must be: 

  •     Enrolled in a study for the entire duration of the program (full 5 months) AND be an EU citizen passport holder OR a Non-EU Citizen studying in the Netherlands.

Purpose of Role

This project aims to improve the Direct to Consumer (DTC) experience on our e-commerce platform while increasing product exposure across prominent online marketplaces like Zalando, JD Sports, and AboutYou. It focuses on developing and implementing a refined SEO strategy to boost our website's search engine presence and drive organic traffic. The Rookie will engage in activities such as keyword research, on-page optimization, and leveraging customer feedback for product listings, enhancing our search rankings and directing more customers to our products both on-site and on partner marketplaces. Measuring the success of these efforts through changes in search rankings, traffic, conversions, analyze return rates and benchmarking competition is a key part of the role. In this hands-on project, the Rookie will also collaborate with various teams—Marketing, Planning, and Merchandising—to ensure a unified DTC strategy, gaining a holistic insight into the interconnectedness of corporate divisions and their collective impact on the e-commerce and marketing success across campaigns like Cyber Week and FW Seasonal preparation.  

Your Impact

  • Assist in the analysis of digital marketplace trends within the EMEA region, focusing on execution, visibility, conversion, product performance, and commercial focus points.
  • Contribute to research on Under Armour’s positioning within digital accounts, identifying competitive actions and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, customer service, and logistics to gain a holistic understanding of the business.
  • Support initiatives for brand premiumization and provide assistance in assortment analysis and rationalization across specific account segmentations.


  • A good understanding on digital business process …. Digital Marketing, Content, Product, Customer Service.
  • Proven methodological skills … business planning, strategic development, analytics 
  • Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills with an analytical mind coupled with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations based on their analysis.
  • PowerPoint presentation skills and the ability to deliver strong presentations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong Interpersonal skills & demonstrable track record of good relationship building
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other areas of the business such as marketing, customer service & logistics.

Education and Experience:

  • Student of business studies, data analytics, consumer/market dynamics, marketing, merchandising or similar
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other areas of the business such as marketing, customer service & logistics.
