The Rookie Program

Do you have what it takes to make an impact?!  Join the Under Armour Rookie (internship) Program: 

  • Start date 1st of February ‘25 until 30th of June ‘25

 

In order to be eligible for an internship you must be: 

  • Enrolled in a Dutch University (not on-line) in a Bachelor or a Master for the entire duration of the program (full 5 months) AND be an EU citizen passport holder OR a Non-EU Citizen studying in the Netherlands (Internship should be then a mandatory part of your curriculum).

Our internship program is designed to provide a holistic understanding of the Under Armour brand. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to participate in our Teammate Resource Groups, where you can share experiences, build relationships, and grow as a team. You will also step inside the exciting world of retail and explore the fast-paced environment that keeps our customers coming back for more.

Purpose of Role

The role sits in the CTMX (Culture and Teammate Experience) team, part of the bigger Human Resources team. The CTMX function drives the teammate experience at all levels, with a focus on 3 pillars: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Teammates relations, facilities and in-house events. Aligned with Under Armour purpose and values, we promote an inclusive, equitable and ethical culture and workplace where teammates are engaged, empowered, equipped and inspired to do their best work.


The scope of the project is to contribute to the implementation and sustainability of new CTMX initiatives, in partnership with various business stakeholders.  


The successful candidate of this Rookie program will lead on DEI communications for talent attraction and teammates’ diversity celebrations, bring support on projects to make our workplace more inclusive for people with disabilities, and implement new health services promoting health and teammates’ wellbeing.  They will also contribute to workplace trends identification by end-to end management of our exit interviews process.
The scope of the role also involves engagement in Teammates’ events, as well as reviewing processes and policies that would support the respect of our norms and values. It will also include significant cross functional collaboration and exposure to various regional and global stakeholders, both corporate and retail.


The rookie missions in this role include their involvement in the different areas of the CTMX function:

 

1. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: 

  • Implementation of DEI communications plan for FY26 
    • design and implement monthly cultural celebrations calendar
    • coordinate and publish monthly employee resource groups’ Newsletter
    • Contribute to Linkedin regional communication plan to attract talents, 
    • Develop DEI comms in retail.
    • craft inspiring stories using various tools (papers, videos, pictures…) and channels, spotlighting our teammates’ experiences and stories of diversity and inclusion.
  • Contribute to workspace (physical and digital) accessibility to people with disabilities in Amsterdam: expected results are about teammates’ awareness, accommodations process, and supporting gaps resolution within agreed budget, in collaboration with house manager
  • Support Talent Acquisition team in identifying and implementing diverse sourcing: FY26 TBD with TA, apprenticeship Germany/refugees programing, minorities owned recruitment agencies

 

2. Facilities, in-house events: 

  • Develop teammates’ wellbeing and health: support the FU26 implementation of health examinations offering for retail and corporate teammates in the Netherlands. Design and implement communication campaigns, assess results and advise next steps. 
  • Ensure success of teammates’ events by supporting house manager and CTMX sr manager in communications and logistics

Your Impact

  • Manage  Diversity, Equity and Inclusion communication plan, supporting impactful storytelling related to DE&I strategies and related communities: cultural celebrations, teammates’ spotlights, Teammates Resource Groups Newsletter, Linkedin posts.
  • Support workspace projects for inclusion: contribute to office accessibility development for people with disabilities in Amsterdam,
  • Support Talent Acquisition team in identifying and implementing diverse sourcing and inclusive recruitment.
  • Encourage Teammates’ healthcare and wellbeing by supporting the implementation of voluntary health examinations for retail and corporate teammates in the Netherlands. Design and implement communication campaigns, assess results and advise next steps. 
  • Identify workplace trends by managing the exit interviews process: oversee the implementation of digital exit interviews in the region, lead exit interviews, and analyze/summarize quantitative and qualitative insights to achieve high level understanding of retention issues. 
  • Ensure respect of or UA norms and behaviors by reviewing policies and designing internal trainings on Under Armour processes addressing, for example, inappropriate behaviors or underperformance.

Education and Experience

  • Students in HR, comms, or social sciences
  • First experience wished, either personal or professional, linked to HR, DEI, ethics or community outreach.

 

Additional Skills and Attributes:

  • A personal interest in either Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Ethics, or teammates’ engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and social media knowledge.
  • First experience in managing projects, ideally with multiple stakeholders.
  • Analytical mind coupled with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations based on their analysis.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills with ability to listen and question.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other areas of the business such as HR, communications and events, Employees Resource Groups.
  • Excellent level of English, both verbal and written
