Are You The Next Rookie?
- Enrolled in a Dutch college or university (Bachelor’s or Master’s) for the full duration of the internship (September 2026 – June 2027)
- Hold EU citizenship, OR are a non‑EU student studying in the Netherlands
- Internship is a mandatory part of your curriculum

As a Retail Facilities Rookie:
As a Retail Facilities Rookie, you will support the EMEA Statutory Accounting team in delivering a key strategic transformation of the statutory reporting process. This role focuses on driving improvements to efficiency, visibility, and control by supporting the rollout of enhancements to our reporting, migrating processes currently managed in Excel into a more structured, scalable reporting environment. Your work will directly contribute to stronger governance, improved stakeholder oversight, and more effective management of statutory engagements across the EMEA region.
Your Impact
Retail Facilities Process Optimization Program
- Identify inefficiencies in Purchase Orders (POs) processes and optimize to make it scalable.
- Map the end-to-end (E2E) workflow of overall facilities and highlight bottlenecks, delays, ownership gaps.
- Deliver a clear Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and toolkit for stores and stakeholders to ensure consistent execution and faster turnaround times.
- Gather feedback from store teams and propose improvements for future program iterations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the vendor coordination for maintenance, cleaning and security services with relevant stakeholders (intern & extern) to facilitate the store’s functional operations.
- Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) for stores in line with internal processes and timelines. Support stores by resolving requests and issues logged via the ticketing system, ensuring timely follow‑up and closure.
- Contribute to (new) processes regarding tracking tools and capitalization of it with relevant stakeholders in the area of PO management.
- Support New Store Opening (NSO), refit, relocation project’s administration and documentation processes between Retail Operations and Facilities to ensure the key stakeholders are continuously updated with latest version(s).
- Monitor the maintenance budget provided by per region and store in collaboration with Operations, District Managers (DMs), Finance for effective documentation and data-driven decision making purposes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Student of Business Administration, Retail Management, Facility Management, Accounting, or a related field.
- Skilled in Microsoft 365 utilisation (especially in Excel & PowerPoint) with analytical skills to interpret data and generate insights.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Passion for retail, operations, and process improvement.
