The Under Armour Rookie Program Internship is designed to give you the opportunity to learn, grow, and work on real business challenges. As a Rookie, you will be trusted with a strategic project that challenges you to think critically, collaborate cross‑functionally, and create impact.

  • Enrolled in a Dutch college or university (Bachelor’s or Master’s) for the full duration of the internship (September 2026 – June 2027)
  • Hold EU citizenship, OR are a non‑EU student studying in the Netherlands

As a Retail Operations Rookie:

You will play a key role in supporting critical projects that drive operational efficiency, enhance store performance, and improve inventory accuracy across the EMEA region. By analyzing data, developing process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help streamline ways of working, reduce inventory discrepancies, and contribute to the successful execution of retail initiatives. Your insights and proactive approach will directly support the brand’s commercial success, ensuring a seamless in-store experience for both employees and customers.

Your Impact

Strategic Projects:

Retail Incentive Program Rollout

  • Conduct data analysis to track the effectiveness of the Retail Incentive Program.
  • Develop reports and insights to measure store performance growth and employee engagement.
  • Support the coordination and communication of the program rollout across stores.
  • Gather feedback from store teams and propose improvements for future program iterations.

RFID & Shrinkage Inventory Management Discrepancies

  • Analyze RFID and inventory data to identify patterns and key areas of shrinkage.
  • Support the development of a standardized process for managing and reducing inventory discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with retail teams to test and refine proposed solutions.
  • Provide an action plan & execution with recommendations to keep the inventory accuracy and shrinkage rates on the current successful levels.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Retail Operations team in analyzing and optimizing the Retail Incentive Program, ensuring effective implementation and measurable improvements in store performance.
  • Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) for stores in line with internal processes and timelines. Support stores by resolving requests and issues logged via the ticketing system, ensuring timely follow‑up and closure
  • Assist the Retail Operations Lead during physical inventories by coordinating with stores and external counting partners. Assist with preparation, communication, and consolidation of inventory‑related information before and after counts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with retail, finance, and supply chain teams to gather insights, track key metrics, and contribute to operational efficiency.
  • Provide actionable recommendations (e.g. weekly competitor reports) based on data analysis to enhance retail operations, ultimately driving store performance, inventory accuracy, and overall operational excellence.
  • Work on developing short-, mid-, and long-term action plans to support store maintenance requirements and improve ways of working (WoW) for operational efficiency.
  • Support and connect cross-functional information to drive successful commercial results and retail execution, aligning on opportunities and ensuring expected deliverables are met.
  • Assist the Retail Operations team with store communications in line with internal expectations and guidelines on the official communication platform.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Student of Business Administration, Retail Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Skilled in Microsoft 365 utilisation (especially in Excel & PowerPoint) with analytical skills to interpret data and generate insights.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Passion for retail, operations, and process improvement.
