Purpose of Role

Our products have a compelling story to tell, and EMEA Merchandising is the conduit that translates and delivers our story and product with integrity and impact across all sales channels.

 

Under Armour is seeking a Lead to support the Distributor Partners for the EMEA region. This position will report into the Sr. Director, Merchandising EMEA and is responsible for the growth and development of the merchandising strategy for the distributor partners, in line with the long-term goals for the region. Core responsibilities include managing relationships with the partners, influencing partners to create dynamic seasonal assortments to reach sales objectives, and translating business objectives and analysis into actions.

 

The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator with strong management skills. The individual would have experience in merchandising, retail, or product management positions in the EMEA region. The individual will be expected to develop relationships and connections across all distributor partners and multiple functions including sales, marketing, and planning.

Your Impact

  • Drive the holistic approach of the EMEA merchandising strategy across the various distributor partners in the region to ensure premium and profitable assortment adoption across DTC and WHSL.
  • Influence and support the distributors through the seasonal strategy with assortment building tools and creative solves to regional nuances.
  • Lead the full Go-To-Market process for the distributor partners to ensure consumer centric assortments land in market and drive long term growth for the business.
  • Stay agile and contribute to strategic idea generation based on changes of the consumer demand and behavior in season.
  • Use market insights and business analytics to give valuable and clear briefs to the global merchandising and regional gender/division merchandising team to further develop regionally relevant product offerings for EMEA.
  • Foster strong relationships with cross functional teammates including Sales, Visual Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, Operations, Regional Merchandising, and global teams to deliver against brand strategies.
  • Regular market trips to understand and analyze the Brand’s execution, competition, and trends across EMEA and to develop expertise in the target consumer.

  • Ability to work in an international environment with a clear understanding of cultural differences.
  • Proven quantitative capabilities to assess data, identify trends, and define actions to drive results.
  • Ability to self-start and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to establish an independent view while effectively collaborating in decision-making forums.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • University degree
  • 6+ years of global merchandising and/or product management experience, preferably within the sports apparel, footwear or accessory industry

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office.
  • Work Schedule: Starting in October, teammates are required to work on-site for 3 days per week. This will increase to 4 days per week beginning January 2026.
  • Travel: 20% of the year
