Purpose of Role
As the Lead Marketing Planner for EMEA, you are the architect of our regional marketing engine. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Marketing Operations, you serve as the critical "connective tissue" between brand strategy and flawless multi-market execution. This is a highly visible role designed for a strategic operator who excels at transforming ambiguity into actionable roadmaps, driving operational excellence across a complex, matrixed organization.
Your Impact
Your Impact: Driving the EMEA Marketing Engine
- Cross-Functional Orchestration: Lead the integration of regional marketing functions, ensuring that every initiative—from performance marketing to brand activations—is synchronized and high-impact.
- Operational Architecture: Beyond just following processes, you will identify, design, and implement optimizations in our regional workflows to increase speed-to-market and project efficacy.
- Strategic Roadmapping: Translate conceptual EMEA-first brand plans into robust end-to-end project approaches, managing dependencies and critical paths across diverse internal teams.
- Interagency Leadership: Act as the primary operational bridge for our external agency partners, ensuring briefing excellence, accountability, and the seamless delivery of world-class creative work.
- Communication Mastery: Own the narrative of project progress. You will orchestrate and lead planning forums, ensuring crystal-clear communication of milestones, risks, and deliverables to stakeholders at all levels.
- Risk & Resilience: Proactively navigate the "messy middle" of project lifecycles. You identify risks early and pivot with a calm, solution-oriented disposition in the face of unforeseen challenges.
- Commercial Stewardship: Co-own the Work Order process and advise on budget implications, ensuring rigorous scoping and active tracking to maximize every $ spent.
- Continuous Evolution: Lead the "Post-Mortem" process, gathering project results and data-driven learnings to refine future strategies and elevate the brand’s regional presence.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in Brand, Marketing Operations, or Agency Account Leadership. You have a proven track record of navigating the unique complexities of the EMEA sports or lifestyle landscape.
- Matrix Expertise: You thrive in global, matrixed environments. You know how to influence without direct authority and can build "tight teams" out of disparate specialist groups.
- Strategic Precision: You are a master of detail who never loses sight of the "big picture." You can switch from a 30,000-foot strategic view to a granular tactical plan instantly.
- Communication Authority: Expert-level verbal and written English. You don't just "inform" teams; you align them. You are comfortable presenting to senior leadership and challenging agency partners.
- Agility: Experience in high-growth or fast-paced environments (e.g., scale-ups or top-tier global brands). You view rapid change as an opportunity to lead, not a hurdle.
- Resourcefulness: You are a self-starter who doesn't wait for a playbook—you write it. You are proactive in identifying bottlenecks and creating solutions before they become issues.
- The Tech Stack: You pride yourself to diligently work in a structured manner and have advanced proficiency in Project Management software (e.g., Workfront) and collaborative tools (Slack, Microsoft Teams).
- Data Savvy: Ability to translate project data into actionable insights for leadership.
