Purpose of Role
This role sits within the EMEA Consumer Engagement team and is part of the regional Marketing function.
The Acquisition & Media Manager will lead acquisition strategy across paid digital channels, working closely with DTC Ecommerce, Category Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, CRM, Analytics and agency partners to deliver traffic, revenue, profitability and customer growth for EMEA’s DTC ecommerce business.
Your Impact
Own EMEA Customer Acquisition Strategy
- Lead acquisition media strategy for EMEA across paid search, paid social, affiliate, display, video, PLA/shopping, retargeting, and emerging channels.
- Ensure acquisition activity supports broader business objectives, including customer lifetime value, profitability, and retention.
- Balance short-term revenue objectives with long-term customer growth and profitability.
- Lead annual, quarterly, and monthly media planning, including investment allocation across markets, channels, campaigns, and commercial opportunities based on business priorities and performance.
- Identify new growth opportunities across existing and emerging acquisition channels.
- Create regional plans that connect campaign priorities, athlete stories, product moments, and commercial KPIs into clear acquisition media plans.
Lead Performance Media & Agency Partnerships
- Serve as the key point of contact for media partners, setting clear expectations, timelines, operating rhythms, and standards for performance, innovation, and executional excellence.
- Continuously evolve the media operating model, ways of working, and partner ecosystem to ensure the setup scales with business needs.
- Translate business objectives into clear channel strategies, platform KPIs, and optimization priorities while connecting platform performance back to commercial impact.
- Mobilize internal teams and external partners to drive tactical execution, analysis, and optimization across channels.
Build the Future Acquisition Engine
- Develop business cases for scaling new channels such as Social Commerce, AI Discovery & Search, and Agentic Commerce.
- Create frameworks for testing, learning, and investment decisions.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to turn innovation into repeatable business capabilities.
Own Measurement & Commercial Performance
- Partner with Analytics, Data Engineering, and Martech teams to improve acquisition measurement.
- Champion the adoption of incrementality testing, attribution evolution, and privacy-first measurement approaches.
- Translate complex performance data into clear business recommendations.
- Establish performance benchmarks and investment guardrails.
- Drive a culture of measurement discipline and accountability.
Develop and Lead a High-Performing Team
- Lead, coach, and develop team members, building clear development plans and strengthening digital marketing expertise across the team.
- Create clear ownership, accountability, and performance expectations.
- Act as a thought leader for modern ecommerce acquisition, sharing learnings and best practices across the organization.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of digital marketing, performance marketing, media strategy, or customer acquisition experience, ideally within ecommerce, brand, or agency environments.
- Experience managing significant media budgets across multiple markets.
- Proven experience developing digital strategies and campaigns across SEM, paid social, affiliate, display, programmatic, retargeting, and PLA/shopping.
- Proven experience leading agency partners and cross-functional teams.
- Strong commercial and analytical acumen.
- Experience translating data into business decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience using campaign management, analytics, and reporting tools such as Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, Adobe Analytics, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam, The Netherlands office.
- Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.
- Travel: Approximately 5-10% of the year based on the business needs.

Base Compensation
€70,000.00-€95,000.00 EUR
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
