Purpose of Role
As Onsite Content & Merchandising Manager, you are a passionate advocate of the Under Armour Brand, you are detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while navigating ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
In this commercial role, you are responsible for optimizing the online customer experience for Under Armour EMEA. This involves highlighting relevant collections, categories, and products to engage customers. You take charge of influencing user interface design and ensuring adherence to standard practices and processes related to the consumer funnel on Under Armour’s websites, across the 15 markets we operate in online.
You are accountable for defining local customer market segments and identifying their needs to establish effective localized content messages and visual merchandising tactics. To ensure success, you report on channel and initiative results to stakeholders and senior management, providing clear insights and accountability for the performance and impact of your strategies.
This position directly reports into the E-commerce Content, Merchandising & Operations Snr. Manager.
Your Impact
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Oversee the E-commerce assortment development by collaborating closely with Merchandising and Planning to ensure the integration of compelling commercial stories that drive business growth.
- Take charge of leading the development of the E-commerce Content and Commercial calendar.
- Develop a relevant and strong content and merchandising strategy for our UA.com websites to enhance our elevation and localization goals.
- Display products and innovations on the site to reach quality and impact, organize categories, collections, and technologies for easy navigation, and present stories to inspire and boost conversions.
- Oversee on-site customer journeys for all brand and commercial initiatives, generating innovative and engaging content, relevant to the customer base.
- Manage the briefing of assets for the Marketing team, supervise overall site content management.
- Help increase revenue and meet targets by using data to optimize content and merchandising to achieve our goals and KPIs.
- Own and lead the cross-functional preparation, coordination, and execution of onsite campaigns, promotions, and experiences.
- Contribute to enhancing the sites by proposing ideas and insights focused on optimizing content and merchandising usability.
- Analyze the performance of content and merchandising and provide actionable recommendations to boost revenue and enhance customer experience.
- Assist the team in creating robust content and merchandising dashboards to report on weekly, monthly, and quarterly performances.
- Foster working relationships with Regional and Global teams to share learnings and insights, influence discussions about global content and visual merchandising strategies.
- Lead and grow a team of multidisciplinary colleagues with mentorship, guidance and strategy.
Qualifications
Desired Skills and Experience (include but are not limited to the following):
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a business-, marketing- or communications-related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in a similar role, preferable in a complex international environment.
- A minimum of 3 years team management experience.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud, knowledge of CoreMedia is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, ideally knowledge of Adobe Analytics and Tableau.
- Expert in understanding analytical data (commercial and website performance) and applying gained insights to onsite changes and campaign performances.
- Comfortable with a varied set of software and editing tools. Technical requirements include XML and Excel, plus the ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Professional experience producing customer-facing content and experiences that is on-brand, relevant, and tailored to the Online shopper.
- Experience of content strategies focused on earning organic search traffic.
- Experience in site optimization and testing.
- Solid understanding with both bricks-and-mortar and online retailing.
- Experience in managing people across different departments.
- English language required at least another European language is preferred.

- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office.
