Purpose of Role

As a Technical SEO Specialist, you will play a critical role in enhancing our website’s search engine visibility and performance. You will be responsible for all aspects of technical SEO, including indexation, crawlability, structured data, ticket creation, grooming and monitoring site performance. You will work closely with the SEO Manager to ensure our strategies are effectively implemented and align with our business goals. This position will directly report into the SEO Manager EMEA.

Your Impact

  • Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits and implement necessary changes to improve site health and performance.
  • Develop detailed reports outlining findings, proposed solutions, and their impact on search engine visibility.
  • Offer clear, actionable recommendations for enhancing the website’s technical health, focusing on areas such as site architecture, mobile optimization, page speed, and structured data implementation.
  • Collaborate with the SEO Manager and other stakeholders to create a technical SEO roadmap that aligns with broader business objectives.
  • Develop and document comprehensive SEO requirements for new projects, ensuring SEO best practices are integrated into all stages of the development lifecycle.
  • Manage the technical SEO aspects of new product launches and site updates, ensuring minimal disruption to search engine rankings and overall site performance. Conduct pre-launch and post-launch SEO checks to monitor and address any issues that arise.
  • Regularly perform indexation testing using tools like Botify, ensuring that all critical pages are indexed and accessible by search engines, implementing and monitoring these changes
  • Optimize our platform to enhance search engine visibility and user experience.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using industry-standard tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush).
  • Identify and resolve technical issues such as crawl errors, broken links, and duplicate content.
  • Serve as an internal advocate for SEO best practices, educating and collaborating with web developers, content creators, and other teams to ensure consistent application across all projects
  • Utilize internal and external tools to uncover all SEO issues and provide weekly high-level audit reviews with recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, search engine algorithm updates, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of proven experience in a technical SEO role, preferably with experience within e-commerce, enterprise or multilingual sites.
  • In-depth knowledge of technical SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, and ranking factors, with familiarity of working across multiple locals.
  • Experience with building and documentation for SEO projects (JIRA & Confluence).
  • Experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and headless websites and its SEO optimization techniques, & Vercel.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with SEO tools such as Adobe Analytics, Botify, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development technologies is preferred.
  • Familiarity with other CMS platforms (e.g., CoreMedia) is a plus.
  • Certification in Google Analytics or other relevant SEO certifications is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of mobile SEO and responsive design principles.
  • Knowledge of local SEO strategies and best practices.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office.
  • Return to Work Designation: Hybrid work, a minimum of 2 days in the office
