Purpose of Role

We’re seeking a Senior Lead Creative to join Under Armour’s EMEA Marketing Team—someone who sets the benchmark for how the brand looks, feels, thinks, and speaks. This is a pivotal role for a visionary creative leader with exceptional strategic and conceptual skills, world-class art direction expertise, and unmatched craft.

You will be responsible for leading the development of high-impact campaigns across the region. Whether collaborating with external agencies to push creative boundaries or building campaign platforms in-house with copywriters, designers, and marketers, you’ll demonstrate that breakthrough creativity can come from anywhere.

Your taste, storytelling ability, and leadership will be instrumental in challenging norms and elevating Under Armour’s brand presence. This role blends big picture thinking with hands-on execution, requiring a sharp eye for detail and a bold creative vision.

Partnering closely with the Creative Director of EMEA, you’ll guide multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with global partners to ensure Under Armour’s creative output resonates deeply with athletes and consumers across the region.

Your Impact

  • Own and lead the creative direction of regional campaigns, driving bold, original concepts from ideation through execution that are visually compelling, strategically sound, and unmistakably Under Armour.
  • Originate and develop in-house campaign platforms, combining powerful visuals with storytelling and copy to create emotionally resonant brand experiences.
  • Review, challenge, and elevate external agency work, ensuring all creative output is distinctive, brand-aligned, and meets world-class standards.
  • Define and protect Under Armour’s visual identity, ensuring every concept translates seamlessly into both design and narrative across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with copywriters, designers, marketers, and producers to deliver integrated creative solutions across digital, social, retail, and experiential platforms.
  • Lead all aspects of creative production, including photography and video shoots, styling, and final design execution—ensuring excellence from pre-production to post.
  • Confidently present and pitch creative concepts to senior stakeholders and external partners, influencing decisions and driving alignment across the business.
  • Demonstrate mastery in strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and project ownership, balancing creative ambition with business objectives and timelines.
  • Shape and tailor account-specific campaigns for key retail partners (e.g., JD, Zalando, ASOS, SDI), ensuring relevance and impact across diverse markets.
  • Establish and optimize creative workflows across the region, driving operational efficiency, improving collaboration, and raising the bar for creative output.
  • Manage budgets, oversee production logistics, and maintain the regional creative asset library to support ongoing marketing and brand initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in visual arts, Design, Advertising, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 experience in creative roles, with a balanced mix of agency and brand experience—ideally in sports, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
  • Proven conceptual skills with the ability to originate campaign platforms and ideas.
  • Strong art direction expertise across photography, film, design, and styling.
  • Solid writing and storytelling ability to shape copy alongside visuals.
  • Exceptional taste and design sensibility with a track record of brand elevation.
  • Experience managing agencies, freelancers, and in-house teams.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Confident presenter and communicator, able to influence senior stakeholders.
