Purpose of Role
The Sr. Manager Real Estate & Lease is responsible for leading Under Armour’s real estate requirements across EMEA, providing guidance and strategic insight into potential site identifications, viability assessments, lease negotiations and ensuring financial hurdles are overcome in the overall development of Under Armour store locations.
The Sr. Manager Real Estate & Lease reports into the Director, Retail EMEA works collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Your Impact
- Build and maintain an established network within the retail real estate industry across EMEA
- Identify and evaluate all real estate opportunities through site visits, site selection metrics and criteria, demographic analysis and research to ensure the best locations for the brand are secured.
- Elevate the brand awareness by ensuring key markets and locations have brand presence
- Actively develop and execute the expansion strategy within EMEA
- Execute within UA guidelines and criteria for site selection, dealmaking and landlord relationship management.
- Evaluate existing store portfolio to actively drive rent reductions, recommend lease renewals and terminations and negotiate renewals and extensions where necessary
- Make commercial decisions at market level by analyzing retail KPIs and local retail trends and needs.
- Maintain key relationships with shopping outlet center owners/landlords at portfolio level
Qualifications
- University degree with an emphasis in Real Estate, Finance or Business or equivalent professional experience.
- Min. 8 years of relevant experience, preferably with retail sports/fashion brands
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Thrives in a collaborative environment that values trust, support, and open communication, contributing positively to a team culture where everyone succeeds together
- Proven experience managing lease portfolios, including renewals, extensions and critical date tracking
- Strong knowledge in Real Estate regulatory controls and policies
- Good numeracy in real estate, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think strategically, define business opportunities and problems, collect, interpret and analyze abstract and concrete information, and create strategic, value-add solutions.
- Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills
- Geographical mobility
- Proven ability to work cross functionally to achieve goals and objectives
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects
Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office.
- Return to Work Designation: Starting in October, teammates are required to work on-site for 3 days per week. This will increase to 4 days per week beginning January 2026.
