Purpose of Role
The Sr. Manager of Wholesale Channel Planning is responsible for developing and executing seasonal planning processes that will enable the EMEA Wholesale business to meet seasonal sales & inventory objectives while ensuring GTM strategies come to life at retail and online. This senior role requires a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitive landscapes to effectively allocate resources and maximize ROI. The Sr. Manager will work closely with sales, product, marketing and finance teams to ensure alignment and drive business growth, while also leading a team of planners and optimizing planning system setting strategies for the WHS business.
Your Impact
- Lead the development of bottom-up merchandise financial plans for the wholesale channel, ensuring alignment with overall regional and business strategies.
- Lead the creation of what/if scenarios to guide leadership decisions, providing insights on channel profitability and risks.
- Partner with Regional Merchandise Financial Planning teams to reconcile top-down and bottom-up plans, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Work with Regional Channel Merchandising to align the bottom-up demand plan with the assortment strategy, ensuring inventory and sales goals are met.
- Lead the management of integrated demand roll-ups across all Wholesale Accounts, utilizing advanced analytics to ensure accuracy and alignment with business goals.
- Lead the gathering and analysis of hindsight data, sharing insights at key meetings and influencing future channel strategies.
- Collaborate with channel business teams and other departments to ensure channel financial plans are integrated with overall business initiatives.
- Drive seasonal sell-in and sell-out target setting for the WHS channel
- Continuously monitor product and financial performance against targets, making proactive callouts and adjustments with cross functional partners to meet channel goals.
- Drive forecast accuracy and demand plan optimization by continuously driving optimized system settings and strategies for the WHS channel.
- Guide and mentor a team of planners, fostering collaboration and team development whilst ensuring alignment with organizational and team goals to drive successful outcomes.
- Manage monthly channel demand forecast at style-color level both for pre-season and in –season, corresponding to merchandising finical plan and inventory KPIs
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and mentor a team of demand planning professionals.
- Foster a collaborative environment with key teammates embedded in global and regional functions.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in sales-, merch-, or demand planning or a related role.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful Wholesale Channel strategies.
- Proficient in channel planning, scenario planning, and long-range forecasting using market trends, financial plans, consumer insights, and historical data.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and senior leaders and expertly communicate complex data insights and algorithm-driven findings to non-technical stakeholders that drive decision-making.
- Ability to lead financial strategy development, integrating financial acumen into overall business strategy and planning initiatives.
- Experience in the apparel or footwear industry is preferred.
- High Proficiency in using data analysis and visualization tools, with direct experience preferred in Blue Yonder’s Planning module or other major planning tool.
- Strong leadership, communication & change-readiness skills, with a proven ability to lead, mentor and develop team members, influence stakeholders, and communicate complex concepts clearly to senior leaders.
Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office.
- Return to Work Designation: Starting in October, teammates are required to work on-site for 3 days per week. This will increase to 4 days per week beginning January 2026.
