Purpose of Role

Under Armour is seeking a Merchandiser to support the Regional Merchandising team for the EMEA region. The Regional Merchant will be a key member of the merchandising function and will have a specific focus on the Youth and Accessories business. They will be responsible for supporting the Regional Merchandisers and executing the long-term strategy.  They will use a balance of art and science to structure assortments for profitable and sustainable growth for the region.  Core responsibilities include seasonal assortment building, sell-out and sell-in analysis, competitive landscape analysis, segmentation, and identifying future season opportunities. 

 

The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator and strong operator with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in merchandising, retail, or commercial positions. The individual will likely have experience in a well-regarded consumer products company and a professional / personal involvement with both apparel and footwear.

Your Impact

  • Support in merchandising regionally relevant product assortments within the Apparel, Footwear and Accessories product divisions for the EMEA region; maintain these throughout the Go-To-Market process and ensure data accuracy.
  • Support in defining and delivering assortment tools to support long range plan strategy and segmentation, including but not limited to the creation of merchandising assortment boards, hero look overview pages and nucleus assortments. Ensure these are maintained in regional assortment system.
  • Work in collaboration with the channel merchandising team to build a strong relationship to support seasonal calendar milestones.
  • Support analyzing sales trends and competitive landscape, including pricing, to generate recommendations for strategic action to meet performance objectives and the right consumer expectations.
  • Support analyzing article and range efficiency specific to each product division and per segmentation framework.
  • Leverage consumer insights to drive meaningful conversations with other merchandisers and to identify incremental opportunities.
  • Ensure throughout the go to market process a streamlined collaboration of any operational needs between Regional Merchandising, Channel Merchandising and Merchandising Operations.

  • Proven quantitative capabilities to assess data, identify trends, and define actions to drive results.
  • Ability to self-start and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to establish an independent view while effectively collaborating in decision-making forums.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • University degree
  • 5+ years of global merchandising and/or product management experience, preferably within the sports apparel, footwear or accessory industry

 

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office.
  • Return to Work Designation: Starting in October, teammates are required to work on-site for 3 days per week. This will increase to 4 days per week beginning January 2026.
