Purpose of Role

The Designer I, Graphics – Train & Golf plays a vital role in bringing Under Armour’s brand stories to life, both conceptually and visually, across our Train and Golf categories. Working closely with Design leadership, this designer transforms creative ideas into impactful graphics that elevate performance and style, driving projects from early concept development through to final execution, including tech pack creation and production readiness.

Your Impact

  • Work collaboratively with Design leadership and cross-functional partners to create brand-right graphics and trims that across the Train and Golf categories, while staying true to Under Armour’s DNA and design standards.
  • Gather inspiration, develop, and present compelling graphic concepts that connect to each category’s athlete and aesthetic.
  • Balance creativity with precision, demonstrating adaptability, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
  • Build and maintain accurate tech packs, ensuring graphics are production-ready and aligned with seasonal calendars.
  • Provide design support across the broader Apparel Graphics team when needed, contributing to the overall cohesion of the brand’s visual identity.
  • Stay attuned to emerging design, sport, and lifestyle trends that influence the Train and Golf consumer spaces.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or Apparel Design with typically 2 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with typically 3 years of relevant experience; or typically 5 years of relevant work experience without a degree.
  • 2+ years of design experience, ideally in apparel or performance product design.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Strong eye for typography, layout, and apparel graphic application, with the ability to express ideas through sketching.
  • Understanding of materials, construction, and manufacturing techniques, with basic knowledge of screen printing and trim design.
  • Excellent attention to detail, presentation skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines in a collaborative environment.
  • Deep passion for design and creating innovative, compelling product.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from Baltimore, MD office. 
  • Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.

Base Compensation

 

 $59,523.63 - $81,844.99 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
