Purpose of Role
The Assistant Product Line Manager (APLM), Youth will support the Youth Footwear and Apparel team and will contribute to product creation efforts from concept through commercialization.
As a critical member of the team, you will support the development and execution of seasonal strategies and will contribute to line planning, brief creation, Go-To-Market milestones, and will be responsible for ensuring accuracy of systems and sales tools.
In this role, you will report to the Director, Youth Apparel & Footwear and work closely with internal and external cross functional partners in Design, Innovation, Product Development, Sourcing, Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, Operations, Retail, and Sales to deliver against business objectives.
Your Impact
- Build the Youth product line and help carry the process from to concept through commercialization
- Assist in building the brief and communicating the vision to cross functional partners
- Work with design, development and sourcing through fit and development process to achieve on brief needs and hit margin targets
- Partner with planners, merchandising, sales and Director/PLM to develop strong understanding of the numbers to help inform future line plan decisions
- Analyze and articulate information around bookings, sell-through, and trends to inform future line plan decisions
- Assist in gathering consumer insights from athlete feedback, fit & wear test results, market & competitive trends to ensure UA is building market leading product across multiple end-uses, genders and regions
- Conduct consumer research and competitive analysis to identify/anticipate trends and market opportunities
- Oversee, manage, and ensure all systems and data are up to date, input on time and accurate. Responsible for data entry into Trasix, Centric, and other related systems.
- Track online product reviews and customer returns to identify quality issues and opportunities to improve future iterations of products.
- Assist with sample management, product reviews and drive GTM Calendar alignment
- Assist with product presentations and creation of sales tools for GTM Milestones.
- Keep record of fabric, trims, fit, costing for each style
- Support alignment and collaboration between external licensing partners and internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to GTM calendars and integration into GTM milestones and processes.
- Have a working knowledge of Licensee’s contractual obligations and associated financial implications of decisions
- Proactively support team with current season's assortment and future season opportunities.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned as needs of the business change.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with typically 2 years of related experience or Masters degree without experience or typically 6 years of relevant experience without degree.
- Ability to define, prioritize & efficiently solve problems with the best interest of the target consumer in mind.
- Exceptional organizational skills - Able to multi-task across categories and functions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to mine consumer insights & translate into product solutions.
- Ability to successfully lead a cross-functional pod.
- Team player with a growth mindset, passion for building product and obsession with quality.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and exhibits exceptional time management, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Project management, product marketing and/or Consumer insight experience.
Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, Maryland office.
- Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 3 days in-office per week through September 5, 2025. Beginning September 8, 2025, the in-office requirement will increase to 4 days per week.

Base Compensation
$87,560.50 - $120,395.69 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
