Purpose of Role
The Associate PLM is responsible for building performance driven innovative product for the Team Sport athlete. This product elevates the athlete to perform to their highest capacity in any athletic endeavor. This person will connect with the athlete, help execute and implement seasonal strategy, and build margin rich, innovative product to help make the athlete better. This teammate works cross-functionally throughout UA to build a partnerships and is a consensus-builder who drives business results in their category of business.
Your Impact
- Build the product line and help carry the process from concept to commercialization. Assist in building the brief and communicate the vision to cross functional partners. Work with design, development and sourcing through the fit and development process to deliver great product that hits margin targets and the numbers
- Data and systems management. Oversee, manage, and ensure all systems + data are up to date and input on time
- Develop business acumen. Partner with planners, merchandisers, sales, and Director to develop strong understanding of the numbers. An Associate PLM should be able to analyze and articulate information around bookings, sales, and trends to inform future line plan decisions
- Collaborate with Sports Marketing and Global Regions to build best in class product for Collegiate and Professional assets/partners
- Connect with the Athlete. Work with, observe, and gain crucial athlete insights informing and influencing product. Be knowledgeable on the market landscape and the competition
- Assist Director to outline and manage seasonal business plans to include growth opportunity based on product range (styles/skus), price positioning, channel distribution, delivery launch and flow through
- Have detailed knowledge of the product in your area – keeping record of fabric, trims, fit, costing and approval timelines pertaining to each style
- Have detailed knowledge of Under Armour’s greatest innovations and performance solutions to support the effort of these brand stories showing up on our Team Athletes.
- Assist in product presentations internally and externally
- Responsible for data entry into Centric/Armoury, and other related systems.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned as needs of the business change.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with typically 5 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 3 years of relevant experience or typically 9 years of relevant work experience without degree.
- Product line management experience along with project management, product marketing and/or Consumer insight experience
- Ability to successfully lead a cross-functional pod with strong and proven relationship building
- Strong presentation, collaboration, project, and time management skills
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions with best interest of Athlete/Customer in mind
- Preferred experience managing Full Product Life Cycle
- Ability to mine consumer insights and translate into product solutions
Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore office.
- Return to Work Designation: 3 days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.
Relocation
- Relocation may be provided up to a specified amount
Base Compensation
$87,498.00 - $120,309.20 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
