Purpose of Role

The Associate Product Line Manager (APLM), Women’s Train Apparel, supports the seasonal product creation process by helping manage product information, line plans, consumer insights, and cross-functional coordination across the Women’s Train Apparel business. This role contributes to the successful execution of seasonal assortments that connect innovation, outfitting, style, and performance for the female athlete.


The APLM works closely with Product Line Management, Design, Development, Consumer Merchandising, Marketing, and Regional teams to support product briefs, milestone management, storytelling tools, and marketplace readiness.
Success in this role requires strong organization, operational rigor, analytical capability, consumer curiosity, and a passion for product and marketplace trends.

Your Impact

Support Seasonal Line Planning
•    Assist in managing seasonal assortments, product briefs, and line plan tools. 
•    Support simplified assortment management, clear product roles, and organized seasonal product information. 
•    Support product creation from concept through commercialization. 
•    Measured by: Accuracy and timeliness of deliverables, seasonal readiness, SKU productivity support, and operational execution. 

 

Consumer & Marketplace Insights
•    Gather and organize athlete, consumer, shopping behavior, outfitting, color, and marketplace insights to support product recommendations and storytelling. 
•    Mine athlete and consumer insights and support translation into actionable product recommendations. 
•    Use AI, digital tools, and analytics to support trend identification, consumer understanding, and workflow efficiency. 
•    Measured by: Quality of insights incorporated into briefs, seasonal tools, product recommendations, and storytelling support. 

 

Cross-Functional Coordination
•    Support communication and coordination across Design, Development, Merchandising, Consumer Merchandising, Marketing, Regions, and Supply Chain. 
•    Support aligned “One Plan” execution across Product, Design, Marketing, Consumer Merchandising, and Regional teams. 
•    Ensure accuracy and timeliness across product systems, line plans, product data, and milestone management tools. 
•    Measured by: On-time completion of milestones, strong collaboration, executional accuracy, and operational support. 

 

Commercial & Analytical Support
•    Assist in tracking margin, costing, pricing, SKU productivity, sell-through, franchise health, and marketplace trends to support product recommendations. 
•    Help identify risks, organize data, and support consumer- and business-driven decision-making. 
•    Measured by: Accuracy of reporting, quality of analysis, and contribution to seasonal planning decisions. 

 

Brand & Storytelling Support
•    Support development of seasonal product stories, outfitting direction, and GTM tools by organizing athlete and consumer insights. 
•    Support creation of presentations, storytelling tools, and sell-in materials that bring seasonal visions to life. 
•    Measured by: Consistency of product storytelling, quality of seasonal tools, and support of GTM execution. 

 

Product Creation & Innovation Support
•    Support integration of innovation within the product creation process, partnering across Design, Materials, Development, Product, and Marketing frameworks. 
•    Support product brief development, sample tracking, fit approval processes, innovation workflows, and on-time buy-ready delivery. 
•    Measured by: Executional accuracy, product readiness, innovation workflow support, and key milestone delivery. 

 

Additional Expectations
•    Demonstrates strong analytical curiosity and comfort leveraging AI, digital tools, and data to support consumer insights, trend analysis, reporting, storytelling, and workflow efficiency. 
•    Develops a strong taste level and product eye across styling, outfitting, color, silhouette, and seasonal storytelling. 
•    Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams. 

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree required. 
•    2–4 years of experience in product management, merchandising, marketing, or related fields. 
•    Passion for performance apparel and serving the female training athlete. 
•    Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail. 
•    Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to leverage data, AI, and digital tools to support consumer insights, trend analysis, storytelling, reporting, and workflow efficiency. 
•    Ability to interpret data and support consumer- and business-driven recommendations. 
•    Strong communication and collaboration skills within a matrixed environment. 
•    Agility and flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs. 
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and product management systems/tools. 
•    Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed approximately 5–10%. 

Workplace Location

•    Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD office.
•    Return To Work Designation:
4 days a week in-office, Friday work remote.
•    Travel:
5-10% of the year domestically and internationally.

Base Compensation

 $90,000.00-$120,000.00 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
