Purpose of Role
Our HR Systems Director leads our global HR technology strategy, drives process excellence, automates
critical workflows, and ensures our HR systems are modern, scalable, and innovative. This role is responsible for optimizing and integrating new technologies across the HR ecosystem, transforming the reach and capabilities of our people, and elevating the teammate experience.
Your Impact
HR Systems Strategy & Innovation
• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for HR technology aligned with business goals.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement next-generation HR technologies, including agentic AI, automation, and predictive analytics.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends in HR tech, digital transformation, and teammate experience.
HR Process Automation & Optimization
• Lead process automation initiatives, eliminating manual workflows and enhancing efficiency.
• Implement and manage low-code/no-code automation tools.
• Ensure seamless system integrations across the global HR technology footprint.
HRIS & Data Management
• Manage tactical administration, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
• Manage HR technology vendors, ensuring premier service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with IT, HR, and business leaders to drive system enhancements and integrations.
Change Management & Adoption

Develop and execute change management strategies to drive adoption of new HR systems.

Train HR teams and UA teammates on new technologies, ensuring a smooth transition.

Communicate changes effectively, addressing concerns, growing skills, and ensuring engagement.
Qualifications
Proven Expertise in HR Technology:
- 10+ years of experience working in a technical HR role with a proven track record of crafting and executing global technology programs.
- 5+ years of experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in HRIS platforms (SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, UKG, Dayforce, Oracle, etc.).
- Expertise in process excellence and global system integrations.
- Automation & Process Optimization Skills:Expertise with automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Workato, UiPath, Zapier).
- Expertise with identifying process inefficiencies and designing digital solutions.
Leadership & Change Management:
- Demonstrates collaborative behaviors to drive change management and adoption.
- Expertise with leading cross-functional teams to implement HR tech solutions.
Innovation Mindset & Strategic Thinking:
- Passion for emerging HR technologies (agents, AI, bots, blockchain, etc.).
- Ability to develop future-proof HR system strategies.
Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore office.
- Return to Work Designation: 3 days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.
Relocation
- Relocation may be provided up to a specified amount
Base Compensation
$168,329.00 - $231,452.10 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
