Purpose of Role
The Director, User Experience will lead the design strategy and execution of our digital products, ensuring a seamless, engaging and inspiring user experience. This person will also manage UX research, A/B testing, and the voice of the customer to continuously improve our products based on user feedback and data driven insights.
Your Impact
- Drive the overall user experience vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and Brand creative direction.
- Lead the product design process and work cross-functionally to create world class experiences, elevating our content within the digital ecosystem.
- Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of talented UX design and researchers, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
- Meet with key leaders and stakeholders to understand business goals, target audience, consumer journeys and other factors that will impact that user experience approach; Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform designs and solutions (e.g. digital metrics, a/b test \results, third party research, consumer profiles, etc.).
- Lead design critiques, encourage diversity of ideas, and foster a healthy collaborative team culture; Lead the exploration of new, innovative design solutions and patterns; Become experts in creating consumer journeys.
- Stay up-to-date on consumer and macro trends, competitors and previous consumer feedback and experiences.
- Manage UX research, consumer insights and A/B testing to gather valuable insights to make data driven designs and foster an environment of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver user-centric solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and drive business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with typically 12 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 10 years of relevant experience or typically 16 years of relevant experience without degree.
- Typically, 6+ years of management experience; or equivalent experience as the subject matter lead or expert in area of expertise.
- 10+ years UX design experience web, iOS, and/or Android within Agile environments
- Passionate about making all athletes better
- Experience leading and/or mentoring a team of UX designers
- An eye for best-in-class UI and understanding of how to build and manage a design language system
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate design concepts to a variety of audiences
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across complex and matrixed organizations
- Strong communication skills (in person, over Webex, in email, in documentation)
- A strong voice advocating for experience design best practices within the company
- Best-in-class project deliverables (personas, user journeys, wireframes, rationale, assets, comps, etc.)
- Proven understanding of eCommerce, mobile, and digital retail , CMS best-practices are a must
Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD HQ Office
- Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.
- Travel: 5-10% of the year

Base Compensation
$172,800.00 - $237,600.00 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
