SkillBridge at Under Armour
Under Armour is a proud participant of the Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge Program. Through a collaborative effort with our Armed Forces, we’re able to provide training, mentoring, and employment opportunities for Veterans who are transitioning after selflessly serving our Nation. As an approved DoD partner, we are excited to announce the launch of our very first SkillBridge cohort. Under Armour’s program will provide Veterans with opportunities to gain "civilian experience" before they end their military career. Veterans bring a wealth of experience, discipline, knowledge, and energy, and Under Armour understands the value of giving back to our Veterans. We are committed to supporting them by providing the tools and experience necessary for their next chapter in life.
What UA's SkillBridge offers you:
- Opportunities to learn various Talent Management functions, including Talent Acquisition, and Talent Developmentto gain a holistic understanding of the field.
- Learn about the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screenings, interview coordination, and onboarding, to understand best practices in attracting top talent.
- Observe and participate in the development of Teammate Onboarding processes and experiences.
- Explore initiatives focused on teammate engagement, performance management, and leadership development to see how talent is nurtured and grown within an organization.
- Understand the creation and implementation of teammate metrics and dashboards, and observe training sessions and functional leader meetings to align on organizational goals.
- Discover how HR teams build and maintain a strong talent pipeline, ensuring a continuous flow of qualified candidates across the organization.
- Gain insights into managing HR projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Attend training sessions, workshops, and networking events to enhance your HR knowledge and skills, preparing you for a successful transition to the civilian workforce.
Qualifications & Eligibility
- Applicants must meet all DoD SkillBridge Instruction eligibility requirements
- Must be a current Active Duty Servicemember
- Have 180 days of service or fewer remaining prior to your date of discharge and you have at least 180 continuous days of active service.
- Obtain approval from your unit commander.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite at our Baltimore, MD Headquarters
