Purpose of Role

Help shape the future of Under Armour Team Sports footwear through purposeful design and impactful story-telling. Connect directly with athletes at every level—from Little League to All-Stars—in the locker room, in the weight room, on sidelines, and on the field. Translate insight into better fit, feel, and performance, working across teams to bring products from concept to the shelf.

Your Impact

  • Strengthen product engine from the design side, partnering directly with design leadership. 
  • Manage large scale projects and processes.
  • Develop and execute clear and detailed sketches, technical packages and BOMs
  • Partner with design leadership to drive concepts for footwear and overall product conceptualization including material, trim and color.
  • Ensure that designs meet category price point and target margin
  • Lead creation of seasonal category content and milestone deliverables
  • Drive partnerships beyond the Design function (Marketing, Engineering, Development, etc)
  • Partner directly with product and merch leads to deliver appropriate global assortment.
  • Present as design lead at category and seasonal milestone meetings; design check points, style design review, color review.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with typically 5 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 3 years of relevant experience or typically 9 years of relevant work experience without degree.
  • Passion every day to design compelling and cutting-edge product with a specific focus in footwear.
  • Strong appreciation for Sport and the Culture of Sport.
  • Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills with expert Photoshop and Illustrator skills
  • Working knowledge of 3D software is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD (HQ) office.
  • Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.

  • Relocation may be provided up to a specified amount

Base Compensation

$80,000.00-$110,000.00 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
