Purpose of Role

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer with expertise in CAD, three-dimensional modeling, rendering visualization, and a strong interest in environmental graphics to join our internal Design team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional team to develop innovative and functional interior environments, including integrating large-scale graphic installations and branding to create spaces that reflect Under Armour’s Core Values and Character.  Reporting to the Director, Head of Design, the Interior Design lead will be responsible for creating design concepts, producing detailed drawings, compelling presentations and managing project deliverables that align with our organizational goals.

Your Impact

•    Design Development: Conceptualize and develop interior spaces that meet project requirements for aesthetics, functionality and brand alignment.
•    Space Planning: Conduct detailed space planning that optimizes layout, considering user experience, industry standard metrics, compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
•    Graphic Integration: Work with graphic design and branding teams to incorporate large scale, impactful graphics into the overall interior design, ensuring cohesion between architectural elements and brand     storytelling.
•    Drafting & Modeling: Produce detailed architectural and interior design drawings using CAD, Revit, and other design tools to present concepts, layouts, detailed plans and 3D realistic renderings and space diagrams.
•    Material Selection & Specification: Research and specify materials, furnishings, fixtures, and finishes in line with Under Armour’s standards, project goals, ensuring sustainability and durability.
•    Construction Documentation: Be able to review and redline comprehensive construction documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project standards, codes, and regulations.
•    Client Interaction & Presentations: Participate in client meetings and present design concepts, capturing information and minutes, and addressing feedback and revisions in a timely manner.
•    Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with internal and external teams and consultants to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
•    Project Management Support: Assist in managing project timelines, deliverables, and budgets while maintaining consistent communication with stakeholders to ensure all design objectives are met.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
•    3+ years of experience in interior design, preferably in corporate or commercial environments
•    Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and sustainable design practices
•    LEED or Well Certification is a plus 
•    Proficiency in CAD and 3D Modeling: Advanced skills in producing technical drawings, models, renderings
•    Environmental Graphics Experience: Proven experience in creating and incorporating large-scale graphicinstallations within interior design projects, including collaboration with graphic and brand design teams to ensure seamless integration. Passion for graphic and environmental graphics is required for this role.
•    Design Software Knowledge: SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite-Photoshop Illustrator- AutoCAD or Revit and other 3D visualization platforms.
•    Attention to detail producing highly accurate detailed diagrams, plans, specifications and construction documentation.
•    Creative Problem Solving: Thinking critically with the ability to develop innovative solutions to address needs, spatial challenges and technical constraints.
•    Project Management Acumen.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Workplace Location

• Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD office.
• Return to Work Designation: 3 days per week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.

Base Compensation

 $64,493.00 - $88,678.70 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
