Purpose of Role
The Lead, Collegiate Partnerships is responsible for driving growth and profitability across Under Armour's collegiate business by supporting the Director of Collegiate Partnerships while managing a portfolio of collegiate accounts ranging from Division I institutions to small college partnerships.
This role owns relationships with both UA Direct collegiate partners and Indirect Spotlight schools in partnership with Territory Managers. Key responsibilities include identifying, prospecting, onboarding, and developing approximately 9-10 new collegiate partners annually, while also expanding campus-wide product adoption and consumption beyond the equipment room.
The position plays a critical role in executing Under Armour's collegiate growth strategy by securing and maximizing profitable collegiate partnerships, contributing to an overall business objective of approximately $5M in revenue. Through strategic relationship management, business development, and cross-functional collaboration, this role helps strengthen Under Armour's presence across the collegiate landscape and supports the continued expansion of both direct and indirect collegiate properties..
Your Impact
• Manage a portfolio of established collegiate accounts, building strong relationships through ongoing service, strategic account management, and regular campus visits.
• Develop and execute strategies to retain, grow, and acquire new All-School Partnership opportunities across the collegiate market, supporting Under Armour's long-term brand and business objectives.
• Identify, cultivate, and close new business opportunities within current and prospective collegiate partners, driving incremental revenue growth and expanding Under Armour's presence on campus.
• Prospect, onboard, and develop new collegiate partners, ensuring a seamless transition from opportunity identification through implementation and activation.
• Drive campus-wide adoption of Under Armour products and programs by expanding engagement beyond the equipment room and creating new avenues for consumption across athletic departments and broader campus communities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Sales, Sports Marketing, Product, Customer Service, Operations, and Territory Managers to ensure partnership strategies are effectively executed and partner needs are met.
• Manage relationships with both Direct Collegiate partners and Indirect Spotlight schools, partnering closely with Territory Managers to maximize business opportunities and strengthen customer engagement.
• Analyze account performance, market trends, and customer needs to develop strategic plans that drive profitable growth and support revenue objectives.
• Represent Under Armour at campus events, industry conferences, and customer meetings, serving as a trusted advisor and brand ambassador for collegiate partners.
• Contribute to the achievement of annual revenue goals by expanding existing partnerships, securing new business opportunities, and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree with typically 6 years of relevant experience, OR Typically 12 years of relevant work experience without degree.
• Strong Interpersonal and Relationship-Building Skills with the ability to establish credibility, influence decision-makers, and maintain productive relationships with collegiate partners, coaches, athletic administrators, and internal stakeholders.
• Effective Written and Verbal Communication Skills, including the ability to present ideas clearly, negotiate outcomes, deliver business recommendations, and adapt communication styles to diverse audiences.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Proficiency, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to analyze data, create presentations, develop business proposals, and manage account reporting.
• Business Development and Strategic Selling Skills with the ability to identify opportunities, grow existing partnerships, prospect new accounts, and drive revenue growth.
• Strong Organizational and Project Management Skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining a high level of customer service and attention to detail.
• Collaborative Problem-Solving and Cross-Functional Partnership Skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams to execute strategies, overcome challenges, and achieve business objectives.

- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore office.

Base Compensation
$100,000.00-$135,000.00 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
