Purpose of Role

The Lead, Channel Merchandising, E-Commerce is responsible for defining and driving the merchandising vision and business strategy for the Footwear & Accessories business within the Americas e-commerce channel. Reporting to the Director, E-Commerce Merchandising, this hands-on role is accountable for building consumer-led, profitable assortments that fuel long-term growth. The position leads the end-to-end merchandising process, from seasonal assortment strategy and Go-to-Market execution to in-season performance optimization, translating consumer insights, marketplace trends, and business analytics into actions that drive revenue, margin, and brand impact.

The ideal candidate is a strong merchant, operator, and communicator with 8+ years of merchandising experience supporting e-commerce or digital channels. This individual will bring a proven track record in a leading consumer products company, along with a passion for footwear, accessories, and the consumer behaviors that shape the digital marketplace.

Your Impact

•    Create consumer centric assortments for the footwear and accessories business on UA’s E-commerce sites.
•    Lead the Go-to-Market milestones for the categories they are responsible for with the support of the Director, e-Commerce merchandising.
•    Connect product, brand, and sport moments to create authentic, powerful and consistent engagement with the target consumer throughout the season.
•    Present assortment direction and how it supports the Americas’ long term strategy.
•    Work in collaboration with the POD across commercial, planning, site merchandising, and marketing to build strong relationships to support the business throughout the season. 
•    Ability to manage and perform under a fast-paced environment.
•    Own analyzing sales trends and competitive landscape to generate recommendations for strategic action to meet performance objectives and the right consumer expectations.
•    Leverage consumer insights to drive meaningful conversations with other partners and to identify incremental opportunities.
•    Think strategically and present ideas on how to continue to evolve and improve processes.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree with typically 6 years of relevant  experience, OR Typically 12 years of relevant work experience without degree.
•    Teammate with the ability to influence and align cross functional partners through strong, trust based relationships in a matrixed organization. 
•    Demonstrated success partnering with cross functional pods and driving collaboration, process, and execution against shared goals.
•    Clear, compelling communicator, able to translate strategy, processes, and insights into actionable direction verbally and in writing. 
•    Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to convert data, consumer insight, and marketplace trends into decisions. 
•    Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in merchandising, digital, or product within a fast paced, consumer driven organization, demonstrating increased scope and responsibility. 
•    Experience with Go To Market models within a global, matrixed environment. 

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore office.
  • Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.

Base Compensation

 

 $90,000.00-$120,000.00 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
